Make my food taste so delicious
I used this seasoning as soon as I received it from @buzzagent to try!!!! Fell in love instantly! I didn't have to worry about eating too much salt or over salting my food with this seasoning!!! Thank you Auntie Tab for putting more salt free seasoning out there for us!!
Delicious? Yes, of course. But can we talk about the packaging? I know that's not the main point but I LOVE seeing Tabitha on my seasonings. It makes me feel like I'm cooking with love AND k trust that it's a healthy choice because it's salt free (but just as savory as you love it to be). I need a full range of seasonings from this line!!
I followed the instructions on the Saute' Business package to prepare the sauce in a small bowl and used soy sauce instead of coconut aminos. I sauteed broccoli in a large skillet. After the veggie were crisp, I added the sauce and simmered until the sauce thickened. I served the sauce with veggies over rice. Yummy. I would highly recommend this sauce to others.
I received this product free for my review! I used this sachet of seasoning on a few snappers and I was amazing by how flavorful they were not to mention the aroma! The sachet holds a good amount and a little does goes along way! It's great to have a great salt free option without compromising the flavor and breaking the bank!
Honestly, speaking, I'm a bit biased on this one. I don't generally sauté my veggies unless I am making an omelette with spinach or some thing that takes down. I went in it with an open mind, but I don't generally use a lot of seasonings on my vegetables to begin with. I think this would be an interesting combination for people who like fish or chicken like that out of the pan for one step? It just wasn't for me.
I tried the salt free saute business with veggies I typically use for stir fry. The seasoning alone didn't quite do it for us. I had to add a few more seasoning to wake it up a bit. I'm willing to try it again with other veggie options, but right now I'm not loving this one.
I know it said to saute vegetables, but I was feeling experimental, so I used some of the seasoning to make a vegetable broth for my noodles. Without any salt it made my broth taste like sweet and sour soup. It doesn't make good broth alone, but I feel like it would definitely make great saute vegetables. You can definitely taste the slight sweetness of onion powder in the seasoning.
This blend of seasonings does not complement vegetables. We suffered through the meal because food is expensive, but I will not buy this again. It's heavy on cinnamon and anise. That's really all I could taste.
I was about to give this 2 starts to be nice but honestly I would never pick this up or recommend it. No one in my family liked it. When I opened the package the scent wasn't even pleasant. Its a very fine powder which was weird to me as well. I tried it on some broccoli (only half the pack because I couldn't) and even added butter to try and help it because I could tell just from opening the pack this wasn't it. To add to the never buy again reasoning, it has brown sugar in it! There is no way I want to add sugar to my vegetables! I thought Tabitha was making healthier seasonings but this is definitely not one of them.
