I'm not a fan of gherkins of any kind, but my husband has to have them at the ready. He started eating them when he was on a low-carb diet, because they satisfied his cravings for tangy and sweet, and he's been eating these Mt. Olive No Sugar Added Gherkins ever since. I prefer the no sugar added bread and butter pickles, but I have eaten a few from time to time, and even though I'm not a gherkin fan, they weren't half bad. They're perfect for party trays, because diabetics and non-diabetics alike can enjoy them, and there's no off-putting aftertaste.
vlasic sugar free relish is having some problems with shipping and the price if seen is skyrocketed..so I tried these in a pinch, and they are expensive still but really good no sugar no calories..can still chop up into sandwiches and salads. still hope the sugar free relish will come back soon in a more regular and inexpensive fashion. but try these .
Loved these for years then availability went sour and the price insane! I paid a premium to have some shipped but as a diabetic they are worth it as a sweet "treat".
We like a no sugar sweet pickle with a CRUNCH and are very happy with this purchase. Great taste and a snappy crunch. We've purchased other no sugar name brands and bit into them only to find mush. We'll stick with this brand.
My husband is a diabetic and has an extremely restricted diet. these pickles are his favorite snack. they're a little pricey but there isn't any fake aftertaste and he says they're almost as good as homemade bread and butter pickles.
Two of these are great with a sandwich, chips and grapes for lunch. I grab one from the fridge when I need something quick and don't have time to eat. They are perfect chopped in a food processor and added to tuna salad with a little of the juice. It tastes much better than just adding sweet relish. The juice is good to sneak in a little sweetness to deviled egg filling.
I have eaten these no sugar pickles for years and I can't tell the difference. They are sweet and everything you'd expect a gherkin pickle to be; crisp with a sweet flavor. I try to keep away from sugar so I was thrilled to find these years ago; they are delicious and every bit, maybe a little better, than others with all that sugar.
Another pickle review? I'm diabetic and I buy the sugar free. Don't get to eat very many because the great grandsons gobble them up before I can get to them. If they could write I would let them write the review, but at 4 %26 5 it ain't gonna happen! I limit them to 4 a day, but the oldest now opens the refrigerator and helps himself. They must be outstanding!
My entire family loves these pickles! These No Sugar Added Mt Olive Sweet Gherkin Pickles are crunchy and just the right amount of sweet without sugar added. Not sure how they have managed to make such a great sweet pickle without sugar, but kudos to Mt. Olive. We eat these pickles with burgers, grill cheese, barbeque and every other sandwich. I find these pickles a great nighttime snack ... just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. My great grandson eats them as a snack any time.
I love these pickles, but they arrived rattling around in a box with no packing except one strip that was just lying on the side of the box. The jars were miraculously unbroken. Unfortunately I usually can't find them in the store, but I won't be having any shipped to me in future. Mind boggling.
