Though I never tried these pickles, I'm glad I ended up with them on a delivery order as a substitute for Vlasic Bread %26 Butter pickles. The Mt. Olive Pickles are crunchier and have a sweet but slightly tangy taste that tickled my taste buds. They are really good along side a Bacon Lettuce %26 Tomato Sandwich or a Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich or in a salad. I would also put them a relish tray for the holidays. They cost less than Vlasic too. Try 'em, you'll be glad you did. Value and taste, that's great.

Not quite as good as my momma or grandma used to make (I should be ashamed of myself for not learning from them!) but pretty close for store bought. Wish there was more onion bits in there though. Highly recommend this brand over any other bread and butter pickles I have ever tried.

Excellent choice

Andrea November 1, 2025

These are awesome, they are sliced a bit thinner than other bread and butter chips, which makes them easier to use on sandwiches without causing the bread to get soggy. I don't buy pickle relish any more, because these can be cut up and used in salads. I just really wish they would get rid of those awful seeds (they are celery seeds and they are bitter and flavorless. I can't imagine why ALL pickles in jars have that even the relishes. Here's a tip: Pour the water (brine) out when you open them for the first time... they last longer.

Excellent mini chips. Tools required!

Mary April 11, 2026

Slightly more expensive, slightly. Lots of much smaller absolutely uniform slices, tightly packed. Looks like more in the jar. Well balanced, crunchy, lots of seeds but not overly so. Jar requires tools to open. Good thing I have them. Adds to the anticipation, and the annoyance. Reminds me of child-proof caps that are also adult, women, and senior proof! Wake up guys! Technical solution required! Or only sell to gorillas!

Taste Homemade! Delicious!

NanaFranz January 1, 2026

We absolutely love this brand of Bread %26 Butter pickles! Just the right balance of sweet with a bit of tang! I buy 2-3 jars a month for my family. Granddaughters (10yo/%266yo) love these! Always when they're here visiting they will say “Nana don't forget our “B %26 B” pickles on the side please”! They enjoy having them with sandwiches or hotdogs,☺️etc. Often I'll chop/dice up a few of these Old Fashioned Sweet Bread and Butter pickles and mix them in with our salads-egg salads, tuna or chicken salads, potato salads as well as green leafy type salads-chef or Cobb are both great w/pickles. They add a nice crispy texture and just a touch of the sweet and slight tartness which adds another layer of flavor. We enjoy this particular brand (5*) so I only purchase Mt. Olive Sweet Old Fashioned Bread and Butter pickles because they have a great balance of tangy/tart/sweetness! We are huge fans of this product. I (my husband and granddaughters) frequently recommend this brand of pickles to friends/family as well as at our church gatherings Usually they'll taste something I've made and added them into such as our salads. Then after they've tasted them in my salads they'll usually ask what type of pickles I added and where I found them (they wonder if they're homemade). So I tell them they're THIS particular brand! Mt. Olive Sweet Old Fashioned Bread and Butter pickles! You really should try some… you'll be a huge (pickle craving) fan as well!!! NOTE: I am not connected (definitely not paid by) Mt. Olive Pickles! I just frequently purchase them to enjoy with my friends and family!

Just right for most meals.

Patricia October 31, 2025

I've always loved the taste of these pickles. Not as sour as dill, yet not too sweet. it's a perfect blend. Currently I love them with grilled cheese sandwiches, hamburgers, and chopped up for tuna salad. They are just right to choppe up, not too hard, yet not too soggy. I'm sure they'd be perfect for other meals as well.

yummy pickles!

AP November 23, 2025

I have tried many bread and butter pickles; with too much vinegar. I discovered 'Mt Olive brand by accident at a friend's house, she had a jar open and I helped myself! I have not bought another brand of pickles since and that was several years ago. I think they are reasonably priced for what I get, and I really enjoy them on a sandwich, chopped up in egg salad or chopped and added to a salad .

Bread and Butter Chips and Pickles

Jerri April 12, 2026

I bought these due to not having my usual brand in stock. You do get a of them in the jar, but too many of the seeds are at the top and more softer than the normal crunch i'm used to having when i bite into them. Also, they weren't pleasing to my eyes as far as looks went. They were too light in color, and the flavorful taste i'm use to just wasn't there.

I was looking for a sweet and semi crunchy b%26b pickle. This was not it. Almost zesty and not to my liking. If you like zesty, this may be one for you. The price is good for the size of the jar and pickles were firm and crunchy with plenty of pickling spice.

Soggy and spicy

Nikki January 12, 2026

These used to be my favorite pickles. They were always crunchy and they always were the best. I just ate them now and they are soggy and soft they taste like jalapeño peppers or something spicy are in them. I can't have anything spicy. They are burning my mouth so bad.
