My dog couldn't wait to attack this bone. He saw it and got extremely excited! He knew right away that it was his. After I gave it to him, he was so content working on it. You can make your dog just as happy by buying him/her this bone. I'm confident your dog will enjoy it!
wow I wasn't expecting this bone to be so big. my German Shepherd usually eats munchy Bones from Old Roy and rarely gets a real bone. I don't know how long it will take this dog to eat this bone but it sure has lasted a couple days. I also gave them to my mother's Blue heeler and old Dachshund and she doesn't seem to be chewing it she's just carrying it around. overall I would buy these again although I might a smaller version.
My medium sized puppy was chewing up everything, including my furniture, I decided to get her these bones, now she only chews her bones, her calcium levels are a bit high, but other than that these bones stopped her from eating my recliner, I actually was able to get a new recliner now thanks to these, they are large and takes a lot to split or break ,she likes the crunchies that she gets to gnaw off, they don't smell bad either like some bones, these have been smoked, they are extra large almost a pound each .
My dog somehow has a reaction to beef out of nowhere. Bones are still essential for his anxiety and teeth cleaning. These pork bones he loves, and the price is good. They are messy and if you have an aggressive chewer, they do splinter a little (like most) so monitor your dog when he's chewing
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS “TREAT”!!! IT CAN KILL YOUR PUP!!! MY AMERICAN BULLY CHEWED RIGHT THROUGH IT SO FAST. IT WAS GONE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES AND ONLY FOUND A COUPLE OF BONE SPLINTERS SHE LEFT BEHIND. HER BITE WAS VERY STRONG BUT IT ONLY CHEWED RIGHT THROUGH THE BONE TO THE POINT SHE WAS ABLE TO SWALLOW THE PIECES WHICH ENDED UP CUTTING THROUGH HER INTESTINES. ABOUT 6 HOURS LATER SHE WAS THROWING UP BONE FRAGMENTS, THROWING UP BLOOD AND DEFECATING BLOOD. WE TOOK HER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO STABILIZE HER BUT SHE ENDED UP PASSING AWAY ABOUT 12 HOURS AFTER SHE ATE THE BONE. THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE WE LEARNED THE HARD WAY DOGS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE COOKED BONES SINCE IT MAKES THEM BRITTLE AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INTESTINAL DAMAGE. WE LOST OUR GOOD GIRL!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!
Please be careful or just dont buy this at all. My dog chewed his for about one hour and it broke into pieces he could have easily choked to death on. I'm very thankful I always watch him while he chews but it only takes a split second to swallow a splinter which could cost thousands in surgical vet bills or even your pets life please dont chance it. The cow femur is much safer this doesn't happen it's only a few dollars more from the same brand snd I've never had this issue with the cow one.
Please DO NOT buy this product! I had selected a different bone/brand but they were out of stock and the store substituted the other with this bone. My dog loved it but after about 15 minutes I noticed the bone was “crumbling.” Then I saw sharp shards of bone!!! He definitely swallowed some sharp pieces, I'm sure. Now, a day later, he's got diarrhea. I'm hoping it's just from the bone itself and that the shards of bone that I'm sure he probably swallowed didn't cause any internal tears. I can't believe this product is even on shelves. It's really awful and very dangerous.
So despite the reviews I figured I'd buy 3 for the 3 large dogs I have to keep them occupied while we packed up our house. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS! One dog has gotten chemical burns in his mouth, my golden doodle got liquid poops so bad! We're going on day 2! Vet is coming Monday! If anything there will be a lawsuit! Please save your money %26 heartache! Watching your pups suffer is awful!
When buying this product, which I have purchased in the past . I have always been pleased with. the past 2 ( same order ). Theses arrived and well opening pieces started flying as as these bone starts to disintegrate in my hand. The next thing the end knuckle feel off in my hand. In disbelief I opened the second BONE and it also was not in any better shape. I will go to my local store where I am sure the situation will be rectified.
This bone was completely dangerous. I have a German shorthaired mix and he destroyed this thing where it was so incredibly sharp. Had drops of blood from it poking in his mouth. Messed up his pooping where it ended up coming out white. I would never never never never never buy these again.
