I was so surprised at how good this soup is. I have never had lentil soup before and decided to try something different. this was an awesome choice. wish I had a lot more than one can. I have some crackers or a grilled cheese sandwich or any kind of sandwich and you got a meal. highly recommend
Taste is delicious as far as The saltiness is not too salty because I can't have a lot of salt as a matter of fact it has a chili like taste because of the I believe the turmeric that's in it this 1 is really good I like this 1 I will mix it with my brown rice and cut some more carrots up in it so you can really mix some other vegetables in with it and even greens.
From the appearance on the can, one would think this soup looks and tastes yucky, but it actually is very tasty. Great for seniors and anybody needing to keep up their protein intake . It is Yummy. I eat soup even in summer along with a 1/2 a sandwich. Try it, it the taste will surprise you.
Quick, mostly harmless dinner. Progresso soups taste closer to home made and fresh than the others, and they don't put a lot of weird things in the ingredients. It has salt but not so much as to make it taste bad. They have low- sodium versions too.
This was my first time to buy this product. When I emptied it out of the can, I was concerned. I thought that I was going to hate it and I was going to tell you that it tastes like puke! I was expecting to do that but there was one problem. I liked it, I liked it a lot. therefore I am not going to tell you that it's terrible. I am going to tell you that I liked it a lot! Lot of bean flavor, and I do like beans so there you go. Added a little pepper, few crackers, and it was a quite good and quite filling bite to eat. I will be buying this again for sure.
The soup itself is good. It's not available in store, so had to purchase on Walmart.com. It arrived with 6 of the 12 cans crushed or dented to some degree. I would have returned the order to Walmart but Walmart.com no longer offers in-store returns, apparently. Repackaging and arranging for FedEx pickup was too much of a pain, so half of my order just went in the trash! No more ordering from Walmart.com for me!!!
Soup good. Delivery bad. Going to pick up the case of soup from where it was left and now having to bring the damaged cans back to the store-while still not having the food that I needed-makes this an awful experience that costs me more in time and aggravation than I might be saving buyin on line with a delivery.
SOY PROTEIN ISOLATE?! Not stated obviously on can. Only in ingredients list. Soy products %26 man-made protein products are avoided by many for lots of reasons. Should be on front where HUGE letters proudly yell the grams of high protein. Should say that but state how many grams are from soy protein isolate. Definitely better for a meal than fast %26 junk food meals for sure if thats what the choices are. They taste is decent %26 many are hearty %26 filling. As a general rule though, I'm avoiding their products. *Also, most soups I saw have Hydrolyzed Corn Protein from bio-engineered corn products.
I don't see this note on the online label so I ordered it. I read the actual label only to see a note stating "Contains Bioengeered Food Ingredients".
The Calorie aren't right on the calories. at the time of this post the Walmart picture show 290 calories per can but the when i got the can in my hand it doesnt match the calories. Its 370 per can
