Delicious soup to have on any occasion! I personally always have to have it nowadays whenever I want a grilled cheese! Very silky and smooth, not too acidic, surprisingly! Easy to make and customize, if you'd like. You can make it in the microwave or on the stove, pretty convenient. Easy to store away if you have leftovers (somehow)!
My son and I both love this soup. Neither of us really like tomato soup, but this one is the exception to the rule. It's great with oyster crackers, cheez its or by itself. It has to be the reduced sodium creamy tomato with basil though. Walmart was out once so I got Progresso regular tomato soup. It is not the same. At all.
Love this one, I add a can of diced Italian tomatoes a dash of heavey cream or milk and some butter. Sprinkle some basil and parmesan cheese on top and serve with seasoned bread cubes
Great soup to go with sandwiches. Like that it has reduced salt content. I look for this when I purchase products and would like to see more food with reduced salt levels.
I personally love this soup as it brings memories and taste buds back to when I was little when my mom on cold winter evening would make me a grill cheese sandwich a bowl of homemade tomato soup always ready for us when we would come in from the cold whether it be after sledding or ice skating or just for a calming comfy evening in front of the fireplace it always warms my bones and now that I am older it adds to my memories as well . Yes I recommend !
it states creamy which to me means it has cream in it like any other creamy tomato soup has in it. this does not. the consistency is the same as their regular tomato basil so i dont see any difference in this style than the other. it has a smooth texture with very, very few little pieces of tomato. has a goid flavir and is good and thick.
Canned goods I order tend to arrive dented. If your not too concerned about that at this time.. it is good
Only received one tomato soup and a different one with pasta in it that is not gluten free. It's a waste to me as I have celiac disease and can not eat it. I wish the shopper would pay attention to what they are putting into my cart. When I'm paying big bucks for gluten free breads, crackers and every item I'm buying why would they put a soup I did not order in my cart that has pasta and is not gluten free. I love being able to order on line and pick up because i experience severe pain and walking cause even worse pain. I'm generally so happy with my orders and cannot be more thankful for this customer service for me and others.
I would not recommend ordering canned soup off of the internet. Sadly the product was not properly protected and the can was damaged in shipment and leaked over the other items in the box.
Box is destroyed, mostly on one side. Smells like tomato soup without opening the box. Inside the box was a mess with everything in red. I looked closer inside and out, there's black mold underneath the red on the box. Four cans were open.
