Well I did something I rarely do. I purchased these eye drops without researching then first. I had to look up on the internet how to even open the bottle. it's a snap after. I decided to write a review after I read some other peoples bad reviews. I too suffer from dry eye symptoms due to meds and an currently using Systane..but lately my eyes still feel irritated in places leading me to put more and more eye drops in with no relief. I started looking for something to possibly help, and chose Rohto. I only put in 1 drop in each eye. it instantly burned, but only for a few seconds ( less than 4) then the menthol cooling effect was so very nice. Rohto really helped my eyes feel better than they have in weeks. I realize I am probably going to have to start buying the expensive eye drops at my opthalmologists office if I continue down this path. I just wanted to share with people with dry irritated eyes, perhaps start with only 1 drop to test this product. 1 drop worked for me.
love how it doesn't waste drops squeezing one time the applicator only allows one drop at a time instead of how others multiple drops come out wasting a lot and it also clears debris from things that get into the eye so that's a plus. Definitely worth it especially during the dry season and of course allergy season so far the best for the money
After trying almost every new eye drop that comes in the market, I always go back to these Rohto All-in-one drops for maximum relief. There is nothing else like the immediate cooling sensation this provides - instant relief from redness, itching, dryness, discomfort. I'm over 70 and these are still the best eye drops I've ever used. Buy once and you'll understand!
I like the compact bottle it comes in that is easy to squeeze. That is the only good thing about this product. It is "cooling," but maybe a little too much so. It creates a strong sensation that lasts about 20-30 minutes, and makes my eyes water even more. Also can't be in the sunlight after taking these drops, it makes your eyes much more sensitive. These are unusable for me.
I purchased this product to an eye problem. Unfortunately, it was not appropriate for the condition I have. Which is bacterial conjunctivitis resistant to topical antibiotics. I was put on a strong dose of zythromicin. Lesson learned is this: If you have a serious eye infection, you could lose sight in that eye. Do not treat yourself. You need to see a Doctor of Optometry. The sooner the better. This is not an OTC situation.
I was thinking i would like this since i like the max redness relief with the red cap. That one's great, right amount of eyeball mentholatum. This one however made my eyes so dry and red . This burns in a bad way too. Still kinda cracks me up this is made by The Mentholatum Company. It sure is yikes.
This Stuff is for those who are seriously into self abuse! I read the reviews and thought wow there's a lot of whiners out there. But I'll give them a try anyway. I should have listened to their words. If you enjoy putting liquid fire in your eyes this is for you. The first time I thought holy crap these things are pretty strong. So I waited till the next day and tried them again. Bad decision. Straight in the trash they went. Do not purchase. You Have Been Warned!!!
I've used eye drops for decades, probably a dozen different brands, and these are by far the worst. First of all the cap is unbelievably hard to take off - you have to push down extremely hard while twisting it a quarter turn. When my eyes are dry in the middle of the night I don't want to fight with a container. But more importantly the drops sting like crazy. I've used other drops that sting a bit just for a few seconds, but these very painfully sting for well over a minute. And lastly, the box says "8 hour relief" but I woke up hours later with dry eyes again. I tried them two nights to be sure it wasn't some kind of fluke the first time - same pain the 2nd night. I almost wonder if it was a bad batch because I can't believe this product is on the shelf and anyone would use it more than a few times without throwing it out like I did
I just purchased Rohto for my severe dry eye and when I used them, instead of cooling my eyes felt like they were on fire. I couldn't see for almost ten minutes and thought I was going blind. I then researched the brand (which I should have done before I bought them) and found out some very troubling statistics. I just dumped them and took the loss but would rather lose money than my eyesight. These eyedrops are truly frightening.
This product was recommended to me by my doctor to help soothe my eye in between doses of antibiotic eye drops (I accidentally scratched it). I've no idea what she was thinking. These drops burned so badly, it felt like I'd poured hot sauce or peppermint oil directly onto my eyeball!!! The skin around my eye was also already irritated so it burned h¢ll out of the entirety of my eye. While I was already down, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and try it on my other eye. You know, cuz I have nothing better to do with my eyes. It didn't hurt or burn as badly as the ‘injured' eye, but it didn't feel good at all. And there's nothing wrong with that eye. Or there wasn't, until I used these eye drops on it. Obviously I rinsed both thoroughly until the burning stopped. No permanent damage, but I won't be using again. Also, in case anyone has dexterity issues, this bottle is awkward to open.
