By far the best siracha on the market. Better than the original and that's saying something. The flavor is incredible. More garlic forward than the original siracha. Great in so many sauces!
I bought a two pack so I wouldn't run out too fast. I like Yellow Bird also getting a two pack was better. Love the heat, sweetness and consistency of this sauce. If you haven't tried it yet, get it and enjoy it on everything.
Great Flavor / Not too Hot
I love hot sauce but as I've gotten older I can't tolerate it as well. This is one I love I put it in just about everything from scrambled eggs to ramen to stir fry and more! Yes its hot but if you use in moderation it adds wonderful flavor to everything!
So first off you need to know how this tastes: the sauce has a lot of garlic to it and is a bit grainy/pulpy. It's a little sweet but closer to neutral and doesn't have a whole lot of pepper taste. The heat starts after you swallow and rinses out quickly with a drink. These are all things that people usually complain about because they compare this to Huy Fong. Personally, I think the flavor of this disappears into food nicely and only leaves a bit of the flavor of the sauce - mostly that garlic and gentle pepper taste in your food. I also think that it works better on some foods than Huy Fong and worse than it on others. You can't really compare two sauces with different profiles to one another though, which is why so many reviews feel so lacking. They don't tell you what this sauce is like and just compare it to other sauces. If you don't like lingering heat and you like garlic as well as want a sauce that vanishes into your food and leaves some heat and flavor, this is it. I actually prefer it over Tabasco and Huy Fong myself but I encourage anyone shopping for sauces to try a few and find what you like.
This is a step above other sriracha sauces in product quality, stability and flavor. It would benefit from being packaged in glass, the plastic top is prone to breakage and the acidity raises concerns for chemical migration into the product from the cheap, lightweight plastic bottle. Pretty sure plastic isn't "organic" like glass is....
This particular brand is made with red jalapenos not red chilis like the original hung foy sriracha. This brand has more of a "tangy-sweet" hot, like spicy mustard. Overall, decent flavor in soups and would be best for someone looking for a less spicy sriracha alternative. If you like less heat go for it.
I needed a substitute for Huy Fong Sriracha. This is not a good substitute. It's not bad. But its not Sriracha because it's made from different peppers. That's why I gave it 2 stars. If the bottle said "hot sauce", then it would get 3-4 stars. As a Sriracha sauce, it is straight up... not Sriracha, so 2 stars.
This tastes nothing like Sriracha sauce. This is nothing more than a Tobasco/Louisiana Hot Sauce with particles in it to give it some body. The first cringe was the taste of vinegar, the second was the twang of the jalapenos it's made from. This isn't even a reasonable fake of Sriracha sauce. It might not be too bad as a spicy salad dressing, but other than that I think it's garbage.
This is very misleading The name of the sauce is called sriracha It is not made with sriracha It is pureed jalapenos the loophole is they named it Sriracha sauce That simply just the name not the product that's being sold because the product being sold is just pureed jalapeno juice
