These rat traps are simple, cheap and they work great. Its sad because these furry critters are so cute and you can even have them as pets, but they totally destroy parts of houses and cars, and it can get very expensive. A combination of rat traps and poison traps (what whatever else, like shock traps, sticky traps or cage traps. also high frequency wall plug in modules may work as well) is the only way to keep stuff from getting chewed and destroyed. It truly is sad though.

Works well and is easy to use. Very strong and durable. Although it looks like the classic mouse traps, it is a very large rat trap. About 3 times the size of a mouse trap. The metal spring is very tight and stiff, so it does take some muscle and being very careful to set it.

I have always had great success and “FOOL~PROOF” results with Victor rat traps. I ALWAYS catch my rat with Victor rat traps!!! Expensive Exterminators have told me about other elaborate methods of trapping rats, however, simply baiting a VICTOR RAT TRAP WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME!!!!

Rat Trap This rat trap is very heavy duty. Its base is solid piece of wood. I had to use a screwdriver to pry the trip bar loose from the staple that secured it to the base til needed. Trap is 3 inches by 7 inches. See pictures attached to have a reference I laid trap on my hand and trap covered it. So, I poked my fingers out at the top and sides so you could get an idea the size of the trap. There is a reason Victor claims to be the # 1 selling trap – it works! Best part is if you have little ones around to worry about there is no poison or chemicals and can be placed almost anywhere inside your home, garage, barn, shed or business. You get the picture. You just have to set the trap up where you see their leavings. Just be sure to place the baited end of the trap all the way up against the wall. After you catch them simply throw away the entire trap and rat or dispose of the rat and reuse the trap. This Victor Metal Pedal Rat Trap is the best wooden snap trap just like their mouse traps way better than those look alike traps with plastic cheese on them. I have used Victor products for over 35 years. Only time I have found the Victor traps don't work is when the pesky little thing is a baby and too small to trip the trap. Then I usually surround the trap with glue traps so when rat comes back to eat the bait off the Victor trap he gets caught in glue traps.

Goodness I was surprised at the size of this! Obviously we all know the brand is very reliable! We live in NM near the crop fields! I'm sure this will do it's job insanely awesome! But I'm almost worried it may catch a kitten! Although I'm not a huge fan, but I'd feel horrible! To be honest i think we will settle for using this in a Halloween ordeal next year!

We have always had great success with these traps. Made in America as well. Quick kill, no suffering. He rodents keep falling for these over and over again.

I have a hole in my garage and my neighbor said she saw a rat coming in and out. I set 2 of these traps with peanut butter on them. The next day I checked, the bait is gone and no rat! I must have some ninja rats than can eat the bait without getting caught! I read other reviews with the same issue and I followed a suggestion by the company. In one trap I put peanut butter again but in the under side of the bait platform so the rat has to interact longer and push on it. On the other one I put some hard cheese that can't be licked, you have to pull hard. The next morning I checked again and this time we had a catch! For the record, it was the peanut butter one! I see some people saying its hard to clean and reuse.....you throw it away you disgusting people, its one time thing, its a $2 trap!

Rat trap load it set it and it catches them. I got this for my husband he was having issues with rats getting inside his vehicular when they would set I bought about 6 of them. So far no rats have got in his vehicles and he has caught 3 so far so hoping it's all good.

I tested this out the other day, and I'm impressed with out well it worked. It was simple and easy to use and got the job done with no type of fuss. Good product.

I don't need these for in my house thank goodness, but my cousin owns his own mechanic repair service and sometimes they have unwanted vermin scurrying around. This is a humungous trap, so big that you should be careful that none of your household pets can access it. We haven't caught any vermin yet, but I think it'll do the job. This brand of traps is especially good on mice, so I expect it to do the same for rats.
