These paddles to operate cordlessly, and not too bad to a point. Truth is, there is a slight delay, not very noticeable unless you're a player loving the competing edge, but I noticed that the controller settings do not relay and happen every time. For example: I set my left keypad buttons to allow me to jump to certain things on demand to go up or downwards to cycle through things depending on the task at hand. Going downwards works just fine, but if I try going upwards as a fast way to my need, it doesn't allow that every time unless I restart my controller several times, and you can guess how annoying that can be over time. So, very good for fun play. But my biggest issue is the auto sleeper program for the controller, so if your talking to ppl, waiting for things to load, maybe reading somethings, uploading things and the controller is not used for 5 minutes, it automatically turns off. Then you have to switch the on/off toggle hoping what you programmed the controller to do works as intended. I am not sure if all this is just a bad software issue with in the controller or bad communication with the receiver connection to the device. But if you want a cheap answer to your love for old PlayStation controllers… I would suggest you consider my shared experience, if you can deal with it, 2 x thumbs for you. If you are easily annoyed and impatient, you might want to look into alternatives.
I plan to enjoy these controllers the best I can because I am cheap
