For the money these boards are legit. Much better than the nerf bars I replaced but not nearly as nice as what came on my 2020 duramax. That being said, I'm super happy with these boards on my '02 2500 HD. It would be nice if they are made in the USA but that's hard to find. Still a pretty darn good product so far for the money, I'm very pleased.
This is actually the second set of these running boards I've owned. Sold the truck my first pair were on. Decided I needed the same brand on newer truck. Wide for my old feet to connect with. Strong for my old body to be secure. Stylish like the rest of me! :)
Looks real good, pretty easy to install, took me 2-3 hours per side, but I really took my time. My only issue is I over tightened one of the running board t-bolts and it broke. I was able to get a replacement at the hardware store but a larger bolt would have been better.
REALLY like the 6" board. Foot is supported on the board. No worries about slipping off or catching part of the bar. The look is more streamlined than any board out there. Sharp. Install was easy on passenger side (two brackets). Drivers side was a bit more time consuming due to extra bracket. Driver side is reinforced with extra bracket (three brackets)and gives you piece of mind it will withstand the day to day use.
The 6" wide brushed aluminum running boards that I ordered fit and look very good on my 23 RAM 1500 Crew Cab. Installation was very easy because the mounting studs under the rockers are factory installed. It IS important to remove as much of the factory-applied paint as possible from the studs to make it easier to thread on the lock nuts. I'm very happy with this purchase.
I looked long and hard for the right step rails for my 2017 gmc 2500. These are the best for the price. Aluminum construction, rubber step area makes it easy to wash the truck. No rust like those other ones. Easy install makes it 5 stars Thanks again Real Truck. Best site for parts. Top notch customer service
First shipment was received quickly but was the wrong product. Even though vendor is very close we were required to return through FedEx. It was a pain & took too long. Once the right item was received it was easy to install, other than trying to sort out the nuts & bolts (short a few). Running boards look great & are very sturdy. Great price compared to others we looked at.
I am 63 years old and getting in and out of my Ram 1500 was tough until I bought these. The width allows me to stand both feet on it and then step into my truck. I love the fact that there is rubber along the whole width and length. No slipping feet off these boards! Even in rain or icy weather. They are sturdy and I can step on one to clean my windshield or get something out of the truck bed. They also look nice! Additionally, the price was fantastic. Great customer service from Realtruck. Shipping was fast. I took them to a local car repair to have them put on since there were odd bolts attached to the undercarriage of my truck from the previous owner having running boards.
Running boards are long and sturdy. Perfect for stepping up and down. Brackets don't seem to be strong enough. Brackets need to be thicker. When stepping on running board, the weight you put on makes the running board lower. Over time the brackets will bend to the point where they break.
Replaced old running boards with APS 6”. Very disappointed at how high they set from ground. I'm a 65 year old woman. They set approximately 4” below truck floor. The picture shown with product is deceiving. I should have read ALL reviews prior to purchase. Didn't have energy to hassle with taking them off and returning them.
