20th Century Fox Home Entertainment - Firefly: The Complete Series (DVD

"Firefly" was a fantastic show killed much too soon by an impatient network. Nathan Fillion is at his most charming, Alan Tudyk proves he's more than just a dodgeball pirate, and Adam Baldwin never made a bad guy look so good. If at first a space western sounds like a crazy idea, you quickly see how well the wild west themes of lawlessness and exploration fit into new planets and peoples. At least "Cowboys & Aliens" seems to think so. This show has such a following, there are "Can't Stop the Serenity" screenings all over the world once a year to support Joss' favorite charity, a Browncoat ball held annually somewhere in the U.S., Jayne hats are commonly seen at Comic Con and other geek gatherings, and I've heard the word "Shiny" used more than once in casual conversation. I've loaned and gifted this series to several friends and I've never had anyone not love it. Their only complaint is that there's just the one series. I guess we can always hope to get a "Serenity 2" someday.

I was very excited to find the complete Firefly tv series at such a reasonable price and WalMart offered quick shipping. It's a great tv show and its a shame that it was only one season.

Several friends recommended this series. I love it. It's adventurous with moments of humor thrown in. If you get this, be sure to get the movie "Serenity". Since this series was cut off in its infancy. They made the movie so you got to complete the story. My only down side was with the packaging. When I got mine, the case was broken to the point where it will no longer close. I wanted my DVDs more than I cared about that though.

Firefly is such an amazing series, it's such a shame they didn't make more episodes, I wish they did! You'll fall in love with this show and will be wishing the same!!! There's a lot of action, suspense, romance and plenty of comedy! The bloopers are great too. Wonderful acting!!! Love the story! One of the best series that Sci-Fi aired! :D

Despite the pandemic and all the backed up mail, I received my both the series and the movie 3 days sooner than promised. And it was promised to be delivered within 14 days of my order being placed. Perfect condition and now I can share my favorite old show with all my loved ones!

I love the series and movie. I am happy to add this to my collection and I sent another one to a friend when one of their DVDs became corrupted. I wish it were updated into 1 DVD in a newer format instead of 4 separate DVDs with a clunky menu, but it is 20 years old and some may enjoy that feeling of nostalgia. 5* even with the old style menu.

As a sarcastic person by nature, the "crew" of Serenity makes me feel welcome on their ship. I never saw the show on air, but my husband had it on DVD, and ever since that first viewing, I've not stopped loving the show. Not only is the ship, crew, and even special effects amazing, the witty banter and mild violence is entertaining. Believe me, this it THE series to buy!

THis is without a doubt the greatest Sci-Fi Western in the history of television. A pox upon idiotic televison executives who ordered this series played out of order (not a good idea!) and then canceled it when people stopped watching it (due to it not making sense--out of order, remember?) My favorite show in history, hands down.

Firefly is a great show that I knew nothing about before I saw it. I remembered watching this show and saying to myself wow this show is great how come its not a bigger hit. Firefly comes from the mind of Joss Whedon, who is the mastermind behind Marvels "The Avengers", Dollhouse, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show features Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, and Adam Baldwin. The series is set in the year 2517, after the arrival of humans in a new star system, and follows the adventures of the renegade crew of Serenity, a "Firefly-class" spaceship. The ensemble cast portrays the nine characters who live on Serenity. Whedon pitched the show as "nine people looking into the blackness of space and seeing nine different things". The show explores the lives of a group of people who fought on the losing side of a civil war and others who now make a living on the outskirts of society, as part of the pioneer culture that exists on the fringes of their star system. In this future, the only two surviving superpowers, the United States and China, fused to form the central federal government, called the Alliance, resulting in the fusion of the two cultures. The show has a great cast and writing is also great, which is to be expected from a Joss Whedon movie. The visual effect are first class and the show in my opinion is great from beginning to end. Once you see this show you will be a big fan and want to watch all of Joss's other projects. I enjoyed this show and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for reading my review.

Delivery was must faster than expected. It was at the store for pick up 2 days early. Item gift for someone so I can only comment that package was in good condition when it arrived. I have never seen this series but I might end up borrowing it.
