As I am over 6000 feet, the unit has not been used or can it be used due to non-availability of high-altitude mod kit, I requested a kit and after over a month and several emails with Buit Hard, still none. I believe this is an issue of integrity and honesty. There is nothing in the Buit Hard AD or the one Walmart is using which says the unit cannot be used above 3000 feet without one of three mod kits and doing damage to the engine and voiding the warrant. One would not know this until they receive the unit with the manual. Then the manual uses two pages (19 %26 last page on warranties) saying to not use the unit above 3000 feet (which is a large part of the US that one of these types of units would be used), without one of three mod kits which can only be installed by a qualified service. Then there is the cost and available (still unknown) of the kits and for most users the cost and delay of having a qualified service install it, and the unit not being available to use during this time. And what about the effect on the warranty with all this?
Buit Hard has stated that a kit is on its way from China, and has provided a tracking number, but will not be here until next week.
