Bought for my 9 year old... great bike!

KateJP May 20, 2013

My daughter is about a year ahead in height. I wanted her to go to the 24" because of how fast she grows out of bikes. This takes some getting used to but she got it. The shocks on the bike provide a cushioned ride and all in all, it's a great quality bike for the price.

Great bicycle for the price

NoNamePreferred September 10, 2013

This is a great bike for the price. The aluminum frame is great and makes the bicycle light to ride. The bike fits perfectly for our daughter who is four feet five. However, it is too tall for our other daughter who is four feet two. Because of the the way the suspension sits the seat cannot go down as far as for example the Trek MT220 which also has 24 inch wheels. So, our shorter daughter can ride the Trek (which is 3 x the price) but not this one.

Would like for the straddle bar to be lower. I would have chosen a 20" if there was one available in this style. My child is 10 years old and it is a little tall for her. It is a really good bike, light weight, gears change easily and correctly. The on-line order and store pick up works great.

We just got this as a Christmas present for our daughter. The bike is everything we wanted but we felt the directions were not as easy to follow as they could have been. The handlebars and brakes proved to be the most difficult and the directions were a general set that provided information for all bike types. So, knowing which page to reference took a bit of time. Otherwise, we are pleased with our purchase!

Great bike for the price

ReasonableExpectations May 30, 2013

We bought this bike for my wife who is a little on the short side and wanted a 24" bike. I was also worried about how much weight it could carry. This bike is holding up just fine.

this bike is good

steve18 August 8, 2013

this bike is perfect for a non expensive budjet, for a kid bike ride in city and in mountain. The break systême are basic so they are very simple to adjust. The shifter is a little bite to basic (cheap) they need to be adjust because (and it's not easy)we can't use all of the speed. But considrering the price the frame and other components are very good.

Good price

Speed change does not work as smooth as I expected. But it's a good bike overall.

Simple to the point bicycle

justanotherhusband July 22, 2013

Purchased this for my wife. The bike was easy to assemble. The right side foot pedal was shipped without the threads on it. Went to the local walmart and exchanged the pedal with threads so it can be fixed to the bike. The brake assembly and components are low guage metal, flimsy and adjustment screws on the handlebar are made from plastic which I'm not too crazy about. Overall a good bicycle. However I will exchange it for a 26 inch since I purchased this initially as my wife's previous bike was too tall. Perhaps I will make her sit on the 26 incher with a much lower seat. This one makes her knees go very close to the handlebars when she peddles.

Great Bike for the money

SouthCara1 September 20, 2013

I bought this bike for my daughter. She was using a 26 inch bike and it was just too tall and as a result she did not like to ride bikes. This is a 24" and with the seat all the way down, it is just two inches lower than her other bike, but that made all the difference. She loves this bike and now we need to take it with us everywhere to ride. The color is great. I read all the review and I realize the components like the breaks and gears are not top of the line, but I did not want to pay for top of the line, I wanted someone that works well, and is priced right. This bike met all my expectation. She has been riding for a week now.
