Better than Great
Value brand. I buy Deglet Noor dates because I do not like the other types mushy and sometimes slimy consistency, great for baking in flavor but, not so good for straight up eating, which is how I prefer my dates. Great Value brand Deglet Noor was my mainstay for dates, I love dates. But, the harder tough dates are just getting to be too many in each package, with the last package being nearly all hard, dry, tough to eat dates that I can't eat without putting my teeth in for. So, I thought I would try a different brand and see if there was a difference.. Lo and behold, I'm now 2/3rds of the way through the container and not one overly hard tough date in the bunch, not one to mushy either. Seems I've found a better brand for my date eating desires.

Used for Christmas Cuccidati
These dates were very fresh and made our traditional Christmas Cuccidati taste great! The have great texture and blended well into the filling. They stayed fresh in the container as well.

It's hit or miss on dryness with this item. The packaging is not reliable. I don't mind because I use it for snacking and love both dried and moist dates. Its a bargain if that doesn't matter for your purpose. I've never had a hard chewy one yet, and the flavor is consistently good.

Disappointed with this batch.
I have bought these before %26 it was delicious. I was very disappointed with these. They were drIed out inside other brands are plump %26 juicy. i don't think i will purchase again.

Damaged, Dry, hard to eat, not very sweet.
The package of dates came a bit crushed in the plastic container. The dates were dry %26 hard to eat. They didn't taste like normal other dates I've bought. They didn't taste as sweet, the dryness almost brought me to return them or throw them in the trash.

this is not deglet noor! why lying?? it's a regular type of dry dates! shame on you selling a fake product!!

This company, Ziyad, seems to have sank to the low-life effort of mixing old dried up out-dated dates with five, at the most, good dates. So, sad. I will be sure to spread the word of this disappointment. I expect more from Ziyad.
