Two things make this pedestal a vital part of front loading machines, raising the door height and storage. This pedestal has a deeper tub than I had with my last machines meaning i can fit some product containers that were too tall before. Very nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the drawers for a few weeks and we are very happy with the storage capacity and the style.
I had a problem fitting the washer to the pedestal. The holes to screw the washer to the pedestal were too high, even with the washer's feet fully retracted. This is a widely reported issue, but seemingly does not occur on every unit. When I swapped the washer's factory nuts (left) with (thinner) jam nuts from the local hardware store (right), the holes aligned perfectly. Nuts are M10 1.25mm fine thread pitch. The LG team should note and acknowledge the issue. Better yet, include the proper jam nuts with the pedestal and instruct customers to swap in case needed. After fixing the misalignment, product looks and works great.
Previous pedestal models had a removable center divider. It would be nice to have both a basket and divider for use options. LG CS keep me in mind if you make one and need a tester.
Drawers are not tall enough to hold detergent, fabric softener, or Shout-Out. My mom's Bosch w/d pedestals are large enough, so I expected the same for the LG. What a waste. Did the designers even consider what people would want to store in these pedestals? The baskets can't be pushed all the way forward or all the way back, so they waste usable space. Overall, I am disappointed in these drawers. A waste of money. They are way too expensive to not be practical or useful. If you are in the market for a washer and dryer with pedestals, consider a different brand—I wish I had.
The 13 month old LG washer on the LG pedistal started to leak. In trying to find the proble, I found the unit is not level. The right front foot will adjust but the left will not using cresent wrench, or socket will not work., Is there a manual?
I purchased an LG pedestal in 2016 with my LG washer. My washer died in 2024 so I needed a new pedestal with it. The new design that includes the laundry basket is a loser. No one needs a laundry basket. They took away the divider in the drawer which made it great because it kept my stuff well organized. If you don't use the laundry basket, it's a jumbled up mess. I wish companies would quit redesigning things that work just for the sake of change. It's infuriating.
I purchased pedestals for my lg ThinQ washer and dryer. None of the standard plastic bottles of liquid detergents(Tide, Cheer)nor softeners(Tide,Dwony) fit inside the compartments. And it's not like the machines weren't designed to use these liquids. What's a consumer suppose to do? What a rip-off!
I bought the new LG Washer/dryer tower last month but the washer was so low that I bought the pedestal but what a shame in the design. It comes with the grooves for a divider but you only get a basket which is a complete waste. When the basket is in you can't get to the back of the drawer so you lose space but when you take the basket out you have no way to help hold up anything you put in there AND you can't even put a standard size laundry detergent in there. What a waste of money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drawers are not deep enough to put soaps, spray bottles, etc. also the basket is very inconvenient, and wish this came with a drawer divider. Without the basket in the drawer, some bottles can stay standing in the drawer, otherwise, these drawers are not good storage for your laundry products.
