Install is pretty straightforward with a simple screwdriver as long as you don't need to drill the hole for a deadbolt. Make sure you have 4 AA batteries when you are installing as they are not included. Programming codes is pretty straightforward and you can program more codes than you'll every need including 1 time use codes. Battery life is pretty decent as well depending on usage. Overall a solid product if you don't need or want smartphone access.

The matching door handle is sold separately. So please make sure you purchase that along with the locking mechanism. I also have this same lock at our secondary home and the batteries last usually about 18 months.

We set up personalized codes for each one of us. The Kwikset Signature was easy to install, app can be used to assist with the installation. I love the look and it matches with my new build. The Satin Nickel finish and modern feel makes it more appealing.

This is the easiest deadbolt lock to install for myself a senior Lady. It fits the 1 1/2 borehole of my door that so many others would not. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. As for programing, that was a breeze too! First open the door and have the lock in lock position, hit the check mark ✅ put in code 4 numbers or more, and then check mark again ✅ you should get a green flashing light

Best feature to me is no need for keys as I have multiple people that need one coming and going all different times. This lock lets you provide everyone their own unique code. I like that it has a lock out feature after someone uses a code that was one time use. I highly recommend you try a smart lock!

I really like being able to unlock the door without a key. This also makes it easy for my kids to come in when I'm not home and they forget their keys. I'm very happy with this lock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first Kwikset smart lock. Kwikset really builds the best smart lock and for not an exorbitant amount. I like that the dead bolt is tapered so that when it locks it sucks the door tighter to the weather stripping. Programming and setup is very simple and the touchpad seems responsive. Rekeying is also super easy, but keep in mind that it will not work with all other lock cylinder types (so just do Kwikset all everywhere for easiest rekeying)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Kwikset - SmartCode 270 in satin nickel to replace a stand deadbolt on my house. the lock was pretty easy and straight forward to install if you are handy with tools. I really like that can easily add and delete codes as needed. I love the 1 year battery life and the smartkey function so I don't have to add another key.
