I own a small auto repair shop here in Massachusetts and I wanted something that could withstand high amount of cars, oil stains, transmission fluid spills, and chemical spills. We had the product down about 8 months and it still looks as good as it did when we applied the coating. No tire marks, no stains, no scratches. This product is absolutely amazing! I like this product so much I just came back to buy more for my personal garage floor. The medium gray color looks stunning. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to apply a coating once and never look back. Mike - thanks man. You have been a great help as always.
Have now used this 3 times and it has been exceptional each time. As noted in other reviews I always mix a 1/2 portion for the first coat with 2nd applied a day or so later. Also keep the roller wet as you apply to get that consistent mirror like dry finish. Wouldn't use anything else to seal a garage floor. Works over a variety of enamel floor paint - most recently applied over Rustoleum High Gloss grey with flakes. UTN60 sealed the flakes in with no issues.
It does harden quickly, which is good if you have kids or wives that don't obey the "stay out of the garage while I'm painting or else you'll get paint on your shoes and make me repaint" warning. The struggle is real. Count on having around 20 minutes to work. It goes on very well with a roller, and I found one garage bay was an ideal size to cover before it got thick. This version is high gloss and I carried a flashlight with me to see where I missed. My garage has the standard Rustoleum tan paint with paint chips and this as the final coat. I mixed in the anti-skid aluminum powder, which you MUST do. This stuff is likely an ice rink with water on it. I've had one bay done for a few months now and it's still very glossy despite the kids and their "experiments" with bath bombs and sugar scrubs. Haven't had a chance to change oil or work on my car, but my wife has enjoyed her baths and her skin looks great. Based on what I've scrubbed off that floor so far, oil won't be an issue. Also, no hot tire pickup.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first bought this 3 years ago for a detached garage floor and recently for my attached garage. It has held up beautifully against lacquer thinner, brake fluid, gas, etc. It holds up as advertised.
After a lot of research we settled on the UNT60 for application on our colored and stamped concrete floors in our home. Before applying the product the color was dull and my wife hated the floors, after application they are shiny and beautiful and the colored concrete looks great - constantly getting comments from guests. Even better this stuff is very hard a couple hundred lb dogs run and play on it every day and their claws cannot scratch it. Application in a whole house is kind of an ordeal and prep is about 80% of the work but it is worth it in the end. Also service was great, when one bucket arrived with a leak they immediately sent a fresh one. Very satisfied.
One of my clients needed a solution for their indoor dog training center. The epoxy was not holding up to the paw traffic. We applied this product as a top coat and it totally changed the space. The epoxy color was more vibrant and the floor looked wet even when dry. Application was scary at first but ended up working out great.
So far so good. I did two coats and it looks great. Seems to have a hard shell to the finish. Easy to apply. I added the fine non slip additive witch I think is definitely needed, especially with two coats. after the first coat with no nonskid I could see where the garage was going to be an ice-skating rink when it was wet. I also probably used a little bit more than I should have, I did two coats for a proximately 550 square-foot garage using two kits applied 5 day apart. I'm hoping I didn't apply it to think. So far i think it looks and feels great, only the test of time will tell but im very happy so far. My pic doesnt do the product justice it looks like a hard glass covering over the floor.
I used the UTN60 to seal my 3-car garage. I wanted a product that would resist oil and gas, and protect my concrete from salt damage. A week after I applied the UTN60 my gas tank leaked. I woke up the next morning and had gas everywhere. I was amazed at how easy it was to clean the gas up. It didn't do anything to the coating - there wasn't any staining or issues with the surface. I am very impressed so far and am not really worried about salt if gas hasn't done anything! Great product, I am a very happy customer!
This is a great product for garage floors. I own a small automotive repair facility and have had this product down for about 4 months now. We have had everything from cracked gas tanks to transmission fluid leaks and acid spills. There were no issues with the coating softening and the scratch resistance is very impressive. This is a very powerful coating and I am beyond impressed with this product.
I am very happy with this product, how great the finished look turned out, and how durable the product is. The first week I had the UTN60 down I spilled about a pint of oil on the coating and it didn't impact the coating at all. I was able to clean up the oil without hurting the coating or leaving behind any stains. I have high hopes for this product and so far, I am very impressed!
