I took a chance on this cheap little air conditioner and I'm glad I did. The fan blows with a decent amount of force and evaporation cools the air considerably. Performance wise this is a lot like a vent in your car -if you could take it and put it in your office- which is exactly what I wanted. It cools well as long as you stay close to it, though once it's off, or just pointed away from you, the room is back to the same temperature. The downsides are that the water tank is small and I can't get the misting feature to work. Since I'm using this by a computer, I wasn't planning on using the misting feature anyway, but the frequent water refills are annoying. Depending on how hot and dry your home is, you will have to refill this several times a day. I refill every time it's half full and I have to refill it 3-4 times just to get through and 8-hour shift. I'm not sure why it has a remote, since you wouldn't be able to feel it much from more than an arm's length away. If the company would just forget about the remote and give it a bigger water tank it would be perfect.

It works fine, but doesn't cool to much of an area, you really have to be sitting literally right next to it and you always have to change the water every day that you use it. It does what it says, but maybe not as great as it's put out to.

I received this item during the changes in return policy with Walmart. Never did understand where the idea of air conditioner came from. More like a humidifier if anything but since it didn't work except the first day. After initial use, stopped working. Was never allowed to submit for refund. As far as I'm concerned waste of money. Too small to be effective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened this box, everything was fine, I got it out, read the instructions, did as they said and used it. The first time I turned it on, I only had it on for maybe 5 minutes. The second time I used it maybe 30 minutes. The third time I tried to turn it on, the fan didn't spin. I have no clue why, it doesn't seem that something is in the way, I have no clue why this happened. You could tell it was trying to spin because it moved slightly and smelled hot. I was really excited about this and so sad I was let down.

Only worked for 5 days and died.

1 Star is fitting, not saying I'd give it zero. When it worked it was great, just what it advertised. However, it broke 2 weeks in (turned on for a second and then shorted out, won't turn back on) so I am trying to work a refund. Just threw the packaging away though.
