Quick and satisfying

Kurt March 9, 2026

For a canned stew, this product tastes incredibly delicious and close to what your mom might make. Very pleasantly satisfying. Great meal on those cold days when you crave a warm stew, but you don't want to spend an hour or two on the prep time to make it. Especially delicious over rice. Will definitely buy again.

A reliable standby all my life

Robert August 2, 2026

I remember this from my youth as a tasty, nourishing meal in a can... recently re-discovered, it's still the same today... a reliable and sturdy "standby" meal that deserves a place in every pantry. Provide 2 servings ( my opinion ) in a can, 2 - 3 minutes in a microwave for each serving, maybe a little pepper, and you're set to "chow down". Add some extra frozen veggies, if you feel "creative"

Convenience, taste and speed are key.

Mike June 19, 2026

The taste for this canned beef stew is decent, unlike some other canned substitutes. The ease and convenience are worth the cost, since making beef stew from scratch is far more economical. Convenience is definitely the 'key' here, even at the cost of 'value'. which is low, What's a mother to do when time is limited and the family (especially kids) is hungry. The quality and taste are way better than the other canned products I have tried. A little more meat would be a plus and I often add some steak or roast to it depending on number of diners @ the table.

Quick and easy

Anonymous April 22, 2026

Again I think the prompts are not away what is in this can as there is no Quinoa. And there are no green beans in these cans. We like the taste of these and with our reduced family size as we are not a retired couple and my hubby says he is really tired, to the convenience of these make a quick meal, add a biscuit or some bread and butter and my hubby is happy. As for the salt (sodium) we add more even if it is not recommended by doctors, but it sure makes it taste good. Guess we love our salt. As for the carbs, not really counting those so not sure what to tell you about those. When we were more active maybe we paid attention to getting carbs, but carbs are everywhere so we just do not think of them that much anymore.

I've been eating dents more beef stew for many years. It's a quick way to make a hearty meal. All I need is toast or saltine crackers and I'm good to go but you can add whatever side you want to go with the stew. Salad or slaw or any raw veggie you want to make your meal completely the way you need

Butter Me A Biscuit! Casserole Idea Inside >>>

Jackie June 14, 2026

Dinty Moore Beef Stew, nostalgic as we remember, makes a great meal with a couple of buttered biscuits or buttered bread. I like the gravy and the veggies are plentiful. Some may not like the beef flavor, but I do. To my family, Dinty Moore makes a good meal, especially on a very busy day. Want to amp it up, buy a couple of cans and pour into a sprayed casserole dish and top with either mashed potatoes or a box of Jiffy corn muffin mix, and bake. You can always add a can of drained corn, or any veggie of choice, to make it even more filling. Bake at 350° and you can even add some shredded cheese on top during the last few minutes. YUM!

Have eaten before and I like having something that's shelf stable, easy to open and eat when I don't feel like cooking. Quick warm up and it's ready to go. Some can eat it right from the can, but I like mine hot.

Too expensive for such a small can!

Anonymous July 10, 2026

I was shocked at how small this can was when I unpacked it from my pick-up order. That is highway robbery at that price for such a small can. I preferred the better ingredients than in the Hormel Compleats version, but this small can at that price is a no-go for me from now on.

Sadly disappointed

Toni July 4, 2026

I grew up eating Dinty Moore beef stew but my taste buds must have changed. While it was hearty, it wasn't especially tasty. I will not be buying it again.
