I use Duncan Hines Comstock More Fruit Cherry Pie Filling as an ingredient in my husband's favorite chocolate cake. There's enough for a big cake and it covers the surface perfectly. He loves the large number of cherries in the can; I've used other brands that are more thickening than cherries.
I have always used this brand of cheery pie filling. It is by far the best tasting and has more actual cherries than other brands. Comstock never disappoints.
I am an "anything cherry" kinda gal, so this hits the spot for me, especially the "more fruit" part!
Only added small amt of cornstarch and combined with the more fruit cherry pie filling— great deep dish pie!!
My pie got rave reviews at work! It was most enjoyable! 😋
The best cherry pie filling. Lots of fruit and just the right amount of tartness.
These were better when they were Comstock, before Duncan Hines was on the label. At first they called it "Simply" and Duncan Hines cheapened it up so it wasn't good--very watered down-- but very quickly they fixed that problem. NOW IT'S GOOD. They have since fixed the formula back to the way it was, then later decreased the amount of cherries to thickened sauce ratio, but there are still more cherries than the regular non-More Fruit version. I wish they had more cherries like when they were Comstock. Then I could say they were "chock full of cherries" and they'd get a 5* rating.
it was supposed to have extra cherries in it. If that was extra I am glad i didn't get the regular can
It says more fruit but it's about the same as great value. For a pie, crisp, or cobbler, you're better off with two cans of GV and scooping out the excess goop
cans were damaged. Very damaged. im not even goibg to use them at all. Very dissatisfied
