we use these canned fruit fillings primarily for making homemade pop tarts, a little goes a long way. there has been large pieces of actual fruit, the taste has not been compromised by the can. an easy go to, keep on hand these fillings have many uses. I've used for strudel, crisps and toppings, have only made a pie once using this but came out great. as long as the product doesn't change I'll continue to purchase. I highly recommend especially if you make fruity treats from scratch.

I typically prefer fresh to canned but this attracted my eye because I was short on time to prepare my dessert and it was advertised to contain "more fruit" so I thought I'd give it a try. I was impressed that it did have a lot of fruit (compared to other canned fillings) and was very flavorful. I will certainly purchase this again and will even try some of the other fruits available.

I love Duncan Hines strawberry pie filling, and buy it quite often! I make my own cheesecake from scratch, and I use the strawberry pie filling as a delicious topping. It is my favorite topping for my cheesecake.

I don't like strawberries but I buy them because I make dump cakes for people and they really seem to like it with these strawberries luckily I never have to taste it to find us it's good because it's on top of it or inside so that's fine they soon enjoy them and request them from me. I bought this after looking at the ingredients. My daughter is allergic to red 40. Online it does not list it but the can does. Which is it?

There wasn't a whole lot of strawberries in the filling. What strawberries were in the can were really soft and mushy!

Don't be fooled by the picture or the description - there is hardly any fruit in this pie filling. It is 90% gelatin with just a few pieces of strawberry in it. The taste is odd and strangely chemical. I bought this to use with no bake cheesecake filling, but it is inedible. I'd have been better off using jam to marble the cheesecake.

Product listing doesnt list red dye 40, but the can does. thats and expensive can to have red 40 in it.
