The boxes on the Equate sensitive toothpaste are too similar. "Extra Whitening" and "Restore and Defend" descriptions are above the word Sensitive on both. I ordered 3 of the "Restore and Defend" but only received 2 and 1 "Extra Whitening" that I will have to return to the store. That negates the convenience of the original delivery.
I was very happy about the early deliveries of all my orders. And also pleased that they stick to my instructions to deliver my Items to my door as requested. Thanks Walmart and thanks to the drivers that do a good job, along with the delivery team thanks.
I have very sensitive teeth, and this is the only toothpaste that doesn't bother me. I've tried several brands, including more expensive sensitive toothpastes, but the Equate version of Repair %26 Protect works just as well for me at a much better price. It leaves my teeth feeling clean without causing pain or sensitivity while brushing. I've noticed less discomfort with cold drinks and sweets since using it regularly. Definitely a great affordable alternative that actually works!
This toothpaste works as well as Sensodyne for tooth sensitivity and restoring calcium on teeth. It gently cleans teeth n gums. I like the freshness of my breath and how my mouth feels after cleaning and it's at a fraction of what Sensodyn charges. I recommend this
Tooth sensitivity is one of those things that creeps up gradually until one day a sip of cold water or a bite of ice cream stops you in your tracks. I'd been managing mine inconsistently with various name brand sensitive toothpastes that worked fine but cost noticeably more. A friend suggested trying the Equate version and I'll admit I was doubtful. Two months later I'm a convert with no intention of switching back. The sensitivity relief is real and builds consistently with regular use. By the end of the first week I noticed a meaningful difference with cold drinks, and by week three the sharp zingers I'd been getting on my upper left side had quieted down almost completely. That's the core job of this toothpaste and it does it genuinely well without requiring a premium brand price tag to get there. The "restore and defend" dual action formula gives me confidence that I'm not just masking sensitivity but actually doing something protective for my enamel long term. My dentist noticed my enamel looking well maintained at my last cleaning and I've been using this exclusively since my previous visit. Correlation isn't causation but I'll take it. The texture is smooth and pleasant, the mint flavor is present without being aggressive or leaving that overwhelming artificial tingle that some sensitive formulas lean on too heavily. It foams appropriately, rinses clean, and leaves my mouth feeling genuinely fresh. At 3.4oz the tube is a comfortable size that lasts a solid stretch with twice daily brushing. The value compared to name brand sensitive toothpastes doing the same job is frankly remarkable. Don't let the Equate label talk you out of trying this. It earns every star.
Same active ingredients at much lower cost. Seems to work. After eating cranberry sauce and other sugary foods during holidays teeth become sensitive. Using this restores and defends.
The price is way too speedy for the amount of paste you get. I use only a dab on my oral B round head toothbrush and this tube does not last long. Not sure it is any less sensitive than just plain old fluoride toothpaste. Who needs all this whitening stuff. My teeth are all capped and it whitening additives do not work anyway on capped teeth. Too much hype for sensitive teeth. I didn't find Sensodyne to be any better. At least equate brand is cheaper.
I have been using Sensodyne for many years and thought I would give this a try to save a few bucks. Sorry I did. It's gritty (main complaint), it comes out in a really thin line, and I really don't like brushing my teeth with it. If you want to save $$, cut back somewhere else, not on your toothpaste.
Walmart being shady! The last time I purchased this it was 4 ounces now it's only 3.4 ounces and costs more!! The fleecing of Americans consumers continues.
I've used the Colgate sensitive teeth product for years. I've had no pain issues. I tried the Equate toothpaste for a change of pace. I'm experiencing pain. I don't recommend it. I'll return to the Colgate product again.
