Very happy to have found Fresh Roasted. I always avoided dark roasts from other roasters as I found them bitter or burnt. No so with Fresh Roasters! Great full body coffee with rich flavor everytime.

The truth is monkeys chew and spit out coffee cherries, but the beans are not ingested or passed through their digestive tract, so Kopi Luwak coffee is not pooped. However, that has nothing to do with Dark Sumatra Mandheling except the cherry is removed form the bean in a unique way, which produces a rich bold coffee that is low acid. If you like strong coffee that doesn't upset, this is the bean for you.

I'm currently trying all the dark roasts and Dark Sumatra Mandheling and the dark Brazil are my top two favorites, out of approximately eight so far, for their boldness while maintaining smoothness very well! That's what I wanted - Bold & Smooth, not bold and bitter or smooth and weak, but Bold & Smooth. . . And it sure is!

Pretty much every roaster offers
Pretty much every roaster offers a Sumatra bean these days, but I've tried several of them and Fresh Roasted LLC's Dark Sumatra Mandheling is definitely my favorite. It has that little twist in its flavor that is the mark of a high-quality coffee, and I like that it's roasted dark enough to smooth out the flavor. Good, full body, too, which is very important to me. Much more reasonably priced than most competitors also.

I love this coffee! I don't drink any other kind. Sumatra is the perfect blend of chocolate and dark roast.

Nice smooth dark coffee
We like Dark Roasted coffee so we thought that we order the Dark Sumatra Mandheling this time. We like the smooth taste of this coffee very much and will buy it again.
