Ethiopia is famous for some of the best coffees in the world with different characteristics. However, Sidoma organic decaf variety has surprised me. To my taste, it is an excellent coffee. It has a very pleasant aroma of how a coffee should. It is smooth and not at all bitter. I found out, through experimentation, almost twice the regular amount makes an exceptional satisfying full body coffee that tastes as good as it's fragrance. I have been enjoying it as a Pour Over so far. I believe, it will make excellent espresso and Turkish coffee. Throughout the years, I have used numerous coffees from all over the world. It is very difficult to find high quality gourmet organic Swiss Water decaffeinated coffees that taste as good as their fragrances. One final note, just for the fun of it, I consulted AI to recommend the best Swiss Water Decaf coffees in the world. Surprisingly, only 2 were on top, the Ethiopian Sidoma and Honduran Subtle Earth organic Swiss Water decafinated coffee. Subtle Earth sold by Don Pablo has been one of my favorite coffees. Of course, with very different characteristics. Now, the Ethiopian Sidoma has been added to my collection. Thank you.
I have tried quite a few decafs and this one tops my list. I love their Peru bean for my Americano, but need a decaf after a few and this is very satisfying. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of crema from this roast. Pictures are from using one shot of their pre-ground.
I've been drinking Ethiopian Sidamo for over 10 years, maybe 20 I don't remember. I make my own blend with 2 or 3 different coffees typically. Sidamo can stand on its own though. And I always drank caffeinated coffee until a few years ago where my health required me to reduce and then eventually quit caffeine. Fresh Roasted Coffee is the only place I've found with decaffeinated Sidamo so I was excited when I first ordered it earlier this year. And after 3 bags of 5 lbs each I can safely say I still love Sidamo.
This was my first order with Fresh Roasted Coffee and I was not disappointed AT ALL. The entire experience was wonderful. I had ordered the coffee for the birthday of my father who had served in Ethiopia as a missionary and spent many years of his life there. He was recently "hankering for a pot of Ethiopian coffee", so when I found this blend from Fresh Roasted, I just ordered it. I mentioned in the gift comments section that it was a present for my father and they went above and beyond in so many ways. Since then I have ordered more coffee and will continue to do so, as I am fully into supporting awesome companies with a customer service culture that is so fantastic. 100% happy!!
Decaf Ethiopian that's water processed - a very rare find indeed. Best of the best coffee here every time. We like to have this handy for late night coffee cravings. We buy 5lbs regular Ethiopian regularly and have enjoyed consistently wonderful coffee. Thanks FRC
I love that it's ORGANIC AND DECAFFINATED! Warnings out recently about the way decaf is made and Fresh Roasted used the Swiss water method which is safe!

This coffee is very good. I love the aroma and the taste is of cocoa with hints of honey. I will buy this again
I often buy the Ethiopian Sidamo from FRC, so it's nice to have a decaf option when I need to cut back on caffeine. The wish the roast level was more on the light side instead of medium, but it's still a very palatable cup of coffee. It doesn't thin out much with the medium roast compared to the light roast and still has a good balance to it. Recommended
I love natural Ethiopian coffee, but I need to mostly drink decaf, and it's extremely hard to find natural process decaf! (I don't mean how it's decaffeinated, but the process by which the beans are removed bed from the cherry). I had high hopes for this one, and thigh it is good, it just too dark roasted to hit the fruity flavor notes I was looking for. If they made this in a light roast I'd try it again. Medium feels generous, it's on the way to dark to me.
