It was a rough week. Yard work, pollen allergies, car problems, poison ivy growing up the back steps and then our refrigerator died. The only good thing was sitting on the porch this morning with our delicious Papuan New Guinea coffee, and listening to the birds and hum of our brand new refrigerator. Thank you.
I usually do not care for coffees from Asia or the South Pacific. They tend to be too smokey or and tobacco-y for my tasty but I wanted to try the Papua New Guinea coffee. Don't even know they grew coffee there. Glad to say that the coffee has less tabacco bitterness and more nutty and herbal bitterness.
Freshly roasted coffee ground each morning makes the best cup. A single origin coffee with a wonderful aroma and taste. No need for sugar or cream with a coffee that tastes this good.
I like to hand blend medium and dark roasts, and I've discovered that Papua New Guinea is the ideal complement to the Dark Roadt Costa Rican Tarrazu. A superb mash-up to start the morning.
I roasted my own Papua New Guinea beans for many years and I have to say, this roast is pretty close to what I used to produce myself. It is one of my top three favorite beans/roasts. Ordering from the company is super easy and delivery was FAST.
A sniff is worth a thousand cups of coffee. These beans smell so fresh, they're hipnotic. This comes through on the brew as well. There's no going back to stale beans. Thank you for this great product.
Papua New Guinea coffee has been our favorite for 15 years. And we really enjoy the version sold by Fresh Roasted Coffee. We buy it by the 5 pound bagful and make one or two 12 cup pots a day. Our guests always appreciate the refined taste of this marvelous coffee, with its gentle overtones reveling a deep strength and complexity. We just love it!
I'm hesitant to try new things but not with Fresh Roasteds organic line of coffee. I usually grab an oily dark roast for my mornings but I branched out to try a couple of new to me medium roasts and I'm so glad I did! It's great to have variety and I've been pleased with the Papua and Colombian in addition to my Black Knight decaf staple I keep on hand 24/7. I highly value having clean organic coffee sources often at the compromise of taste, but not so with FRC coffees…you get the best of both worlds and great variety!
I recently developed a health condition that made drinking my favorite coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee no longer doable. I thought I was going to have to give up coffee which seemed kind of impossible to me. Then my doctor said I could have low acid coffee, so I tried all of their organic low acid varieties. I didn't really care for the other ones, but this one is really good. And it has been such a blessing every morning to enjoy a huge mug. It's like 16 oz, LOL. Awesome!
Really glad I decided to order direct from FRC. I was buying PNG FRC off of Amazon before but started getting bags that smelled and tasted off. I thought it was fluke and bought it again from Amazon. Since this was one of my favorite single origin coffees, I resolved to try it one more time and still, the 2lb bag I bought was just rancid. Although ordering through Amazon will usually get you the coffee quicker, there is a risk that the bags are left in inhospitable temperatures which could result in what I experienced. This never occurred with any other single origin or blend that I received from Amazon before. I waited about a month purchasing alternative FRC coffees and decided I wasn't done with my favorite PNG coffee. I decided to order direct and I'm happy to report that it's as delicious as I remembered the first time I tried it. Do yourself a favor, and plan your coffee needs ahead so you can order direct from the manufacturer.
