Greaty quality. My daily morning healthy meal

Paul May 3, 2026

For the price this can't be beat. And, I think it's very, very healthy compared to other breakfast meal options. Great source of fiber for heart health. I eat these oats every morning and there's never any quality issues. I simply use an electric kettle and add the boiling water to the oats with a lid. I'm sure the microwave or range would work just as well. They turn out fine. They are slightly chewier than instant oats. And, I generally add cinnamon and sometimes a packet of flavored instant oatmeal (apple, strawberries and cream, blueberry, maple etc.).

Not just 4 breakfast!

Chefrick June 19, 2026

Think I have reviewed Great Value Oatmeal before. but!! I love the flavor carrying ability of oatmeal. I recently boiled some chicken for chicken salad sandwiches. Being a thrifty sort of person, I decided to guesstimate the liquid left and add 1/2 that amount in dry Great Value oatmeal. I stirred it in, allowed it to cook on very low heat for about 5 minutes covered and let it sit for 15 minutes. The oatmeal was perfectly cooked, and the taste was like a very thick creamy chicken soup. I left it plain, but you could add any easy melt cheese that isn't stringy, diced chicken and frozen veggies like green peas, green beans or broccoli cuts, or mixed frozen veggies. Can be as much of a meal as you choose. I also use it to give one of my pups his daily Rx. When it is cold, it forms around his pills and tastes much better and more natural than the Pill Pockets available. He loves is and I have to give my other pup one without any Rx just to be fair.

heart healthy and cholesterol lowering!

Amity June 27, 2026

I bought these for overnight oats and am so excited because my recipe came out better than planned! Totally pure and no additives makes this one of the most heart healthy foods you can have in your kitchen. Proven to lower cholesterol and now proven to me to make my breakfast delicious and hearty. Up to par with Quaker so I am very satisfied!!!!

Aligirl May 30, 2026

It seems to be a good product. I buy it because it is a healthy product. I use it when I'm making healthy snacks. I use it when I'm making a gluten-free flour works well in sauces and a good alternative for making gravy without gluten has a lot of uses grading cookies a healthy alternative to a lot of ingredients when cooking and when baking

Just as good as Quaker

Anonymous May 30, 2026

When it comes to old fashioned oats, this is one staple where you don't have to spend extra for a name brand (Quaker Oats) unless of course it happens to be on sale and cheaper than Walmart's generic. If you were blind folded you would not know the difference:)

Softer than the other variety, low price, healthy!

Mickie May 21, 2026

Every morning, have some of this with honey or if you have the money, maple syrup! Good for digestion. I like to mix it into pancakes...or you can mix it into cookies. Those oatmeal packets are practically half sugar, but you can dilute it with this and it works out well.

Great value and healthy for you

KalifornYah June 16, 2026

I prefer these old fashioned not the quick kind. I like my oatmeal crunchy and lumpy. this is the only product that allows me to have my way. add whatever you're fresh fruit or even frozen fruit is that you like and you have a wonderful breakfast or snack anytime of the day. strawberries, bananas etc they all work. some like to add cinnamon or sugar. I prefer agave. and of course, you can make wonderful cookies out of them!

Less salt please!

Ray July 2, 2026

This is a good canned salmon...BUT the main reason I chose it over the Great Value Walmart brand is LESS SALT. If Great Value had even close to the salt in this product., I would but it instead. As a CKD patient, too much salt is a problem, but too much salt applies to the population at large. rk
