⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review The Great Value Confectioners Powdered Sugar, 32 oz is a kitchen workhorse that has become my go-to for all things sweet and smooth. From silky frosting to dusted pastries, this powdered sugar dissolves beautifully every time without any gritty texture. It blends effortlessly into icings, whipped creams, and glazes — giving them that dreamy, velvety finish you hope for in every dessert. I use it in cookies, cupcakes, and even a quick sweetened whipped cream topping, and it always performs perfectly. The fine texture makes it ideal for decorating too; a light shake over brownies or French toast adds just the right touch of elegance. Even when mixed cold, it dissolves quickly, so stovetop or mixer time is cut way down. The 32-ounce bag is generous and stays fresh for ages, so you get great bang for your buck. It stores well, pours nicely, and never clumps when kept dry. For everyday baking and sweet finishing touches, this powdered sugar delivers consistent results that rival pricier brands. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just making a last-minute dessert, I’d highly recommend this — it’s dependable, versatile, and deliciously sweet! 🍰✨
Please continue to pay attention to expiry dates. As a senior living alone, I order items such as salads, meats and milk. I eat these over a period of time so longer expiry dates are important to me. I stopped shopping another chain due to this very reason.
The powdered sugar has a clean, fresh taste with no aftertaste and is of perfect sweetness that enhances desserts without being overpowering. Tastes exactly as expected—pure and smooth sweetness. Very fine texture with no clumps, making it easy to mix and dust. High-quality powdered sugar that dissolves quickly in frostings and glazes. Has consistent texture throughout the bag, which shows good quality control. A dependable pantry staple that delivers consistent results. Great value for the price—lasts a long time and performs well.
This powdered sugar works perfectly for all my baking needs. It’s smooth, blends well, and gives great results whether I’m making frosting, dusting desserts, or baking from scratch. The quality is just as good as name brand, and the price makes it an even better deal. Definitely a pantry staple for me!
Powdered sugar is powdered sugar and there is really no reason to spend more than you have to on it. This one has the same consistency and flavor as any of the more expensive brands and works perfectly for baking, frosting, dusting desserts, or anything else you need it for. I have never noticed any difference between this and the pricier options. Save your money and grab this one instead.
I bought this and used it for several things right away. I made a cream cheese frosting, and it came out smooth, creamy and delicious. A lemon cake with powdered sugar topping which needs the topping to round out the flavor and for decoration. It also was super delicious, Lastly, I made a bundt cake with glaze, and the powdered sugar made a smooth and glossy glaze that finished the cake out beautifully. This powdered sugar made it all possible to perfection.
I bake a lot, bread and most of our desserts, so probably use more confectioners sugar than most households. This is fine: dissolves in the expected manner, tastes fine, holds coloring well and generally is certainly the equal of the confectioners sugars I have tried and I've tried most of them.
EVERY TIME I PURCHASED THIS BRAND BY GREAT VALUE IT HAS NEVER FAILED OR DISAPPOINTED ME IN ITS QUALITY. I LIKE TO USE IT WITH MAKING QUICK GLAZES AND MOM'S BEST CEREALS: QUICK ROLLED OATS WITH LIGHT BROWN SUGAR OR DARK BROWN SUGAR %26 IODIZED SALT BY GREAT VALUE. IT PROVIDES THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SWEETNESS PAIRED WITH THE OTHER 2 SUGARS OVER REGULAR CANE SUGAR I USUALLY USE FOR MAKING BISCUITS %26 QUICK BREADS. THE BAG IS GENEROUS FOR THE CONTENTS. IT WOULD BE MORE MANAGEABLE IF IT HAD A ZIP-PRESS CLOSURE OR SOMEWAY TO PRESERVE ITS FRESHNESS OTHER THAN TWISTING THE BAG CLOSED, TYING IT WITH A RUBBER BAND, OR FOLDING IT OVER WHICH IS UNSAFE TO PREVENT SPILLAGE OR ANYTHING GETTING INSIDE. MY METHOD IS TO CUT A SLIT BIG ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE CONTENTS WITH A MEASURING SPOON OR REGULAR SPOON @THE TOP. IT'S SUCH A FULL BAG IT'S THE ONLY PLACE TO CREATE AN OPENING. AS IT LESSENS I START TWISTING IT MANUALLY AS FAR AS I CAN THEN I SPIN IT AROUND AT THE BASE STILL SOMEWHAT TWISTING IT TO CREATE A KNOT. IF IT'S LONG ENOUGH IT MAY STAY IN PLACE FROM THE TIGHT COIL. THAT'S MY METHOD. IF IT'S NOT LONG ENOUGH I'LL JUST PLACE IT FACE DOWN WITH THE KNOT ON TOP OF MY OTHER ITEMS IN A PLASTIC BREAD BAG I'M REUSING FOR MY GO-TO'S LIKE PRECOOKED WHITE CORN MEAL, CANE SUGAR IN A HEFTY STAND-ALONE BAG, LEFTOVER DARK BROWN SUGAR, AND MY LIGHT BROWN SUGAR. I BELIEVE EVERY BAKER AND COOK SHOULD HAVE A SUPPLY OF POWDERED SUGAR. IT'S A USEFUL %26 CONVENIENT STAPLE. WHEN MAKING GLAZES ANY LIQUID WILL CREATE A YUMMY RESULT. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE WATER OR WATER ALONE. IF YOU'RE RUNNING LOW ON WATER ANYTHING FLUID CAN BE PAIRED WITH IT TO CREATE A GLAZE, FROSTING, OR UNIQUELY TEXTURED SPREADABLE TOPPING. I HAVE USED SOFTENED OR WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE, VANILLA EXTRACT, A LITTLE WHIPPED BUTTER, AND TINY BIT OF SALT TO CREATE A CREAM CHEESE GLAZE. THAT'S A COMMON COMBINATION. OTHER INGREDIENTS I HAVE EXPERIMENTED WITH ARE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, APPLE JUICE, DEFROSTED FROZEN JUICE FROM MIXED BERRIES, LEMON EXTRACT, COFFEE CREAMER LIKE FRENCH VANILLA WHICH CAN MAKE A QUICK INDULGENT CREAM CHEESE GLAZE BY JUST ADDING WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE AND A PINCH OF SALT. I WANT TO TRY FRUIT JUICES MORE TO CREATE ADDITIONAL GLAZES LIKE ORANGE, PINEAPPLE, CHERRY, GRAPE, JUICES, LEMONADE, EVEN WATERMELON! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. IT JUST HAS TO BE FLUID OR LIQUID ENOUGH TO MIX WITH THE POWDERED SUGAR. NOT MUCH IS NEEDED❗ALWAYS REMEMBER LESS IS BEST. IT DISSOLVES EASILY WHEN YOU ADD LIQUID. THE REVERSE IS A NO-GO. ADDING POWDERED SUGAR TO LIQUID IS AN ENDLESS BATTLE THAT WILL WASTE THE MAJORITY OF YOUR SUPPLY. YOU CAN'T TELL HOW MUCH YOU NEED FROM THE AMOUNT OF LIQUID. WHEN YOU ADD A LITTLE LIQUID TO IT THEN YOU CAN JUDGE WHILE YOU'RE STIRRING. IT'S JUST A CONVENIENCE AND EASY ENOUGH FOR KIDS AS WELL.
I do a lot of baking and always have this on hand to just add a little cream and flavoring (vanilla, almond, orange, etc.) to drizzle over cookies, pastries, etc. when you don’t want heavy icing but just a little sweetness/extra flavor. GV brand is consistently parallel to more costly brands so I always buy GV.
I am trying to give a review on the five loaves of frozen bread. I had said that it was good when I reviewed the yeast biscuits and they were terrible now I have made some of the bread and it's terrible too. No taste did not rise. Well has no Good things to say about it. The last time I got it it was very good and that's what I meant when I said it was good when I did the yeast trolls but these five loaves have no taste. They are not good. It is not good bread I would not recommend it to anyone. It tastes awful blah nothing.
