Most people make fun of "spam," but I really like it when it has been fried. This brand is every bit as good to me as the name brand, and this particular version even has less salt and fat. Add to that the much lower price, and it's a no brainer for me.
I grew up on spam/treat/luncheon meat so, in as much as I'd love to lose weight, I can't not have this in my diet. I just wish they'd cut back on the grease/lard that surrounds it %26 or make it less fattening! I'm so glad that it has less sodium that's a huge plus and why I prefer to buy this. The price is ok and you can get a lot of slices fm this one can. It's got many uses/ways it can be cooked or eaten. I like it fried or just as it is in a sandwich. It's grt for thise lazy days when you don't feel like cooking or you just want something quick
I do not buy Spam too expensive. This one cooked very well done tastes so much like bacon.I cut it thin strips, great for emergency.Or when funds get low, make some eggs cut this puppy up and fry make some toast with grape jelly, so good
Hey, it fills the belly. Me and my 3 dogs/6 cats, have a snack with this , like a little pic-nic outside on beautiful days. Usually btween meals. Good taste too. TY
When were in a hurry. This is a great treat until they can get their dinner. When we open it we put 1/2 in the freezer for it doesn't go bad. It's a break from their dog food. God bless everyone and your families
This is the "Lite" version, and to be honest, I can't tell that it is a Lite version. Fry it up, slap on some bread with mustard, ketchup and maybe add a slice of onion. I like it, but wish they could come up with a turkey version.
but that can be lessened -- a bit-- by slicing and rinsing under warm water before frying or eating. it is in identical pull top can package and identical nutrition label to SPAM LITE ---except-- it does not say - any ''ham'' as an ingredient-- just pork and chicken parts and water, sugar[why sugar?] and variety salts. flavor was as expected-- slippery from fats and salty with nearly 1/3 of your daily salt requirement in one small 2 oz serving but a handy emergency food with a long shelf life due to chemical contents---salt-potassium chloride [ more salt]- sodium nitrate [ nasty salt] i liked it-- i like SPAM too on occasion and this is currently [$1.98 fpr 12 oz and SPAM is $2.50 for 12 oz] they appear to be made by the same company and labeled for Great Value. but Walmart does not give info in their suppliers. 10-19-2015
This luncheon meat is much cheaper than spam and it has exactly the same taste so why spend more money?
Easy. to. keep. On. a shelf . Just right. for unexpected company. who need. a. sandwich and. a. glass of. tea!
For reasons I do not understand, the luncheon meat available for ever from stores and the deli was no longer available. Although sold sliced, it began life in a ten pound can. I searched and purchased many different varieties of canned lunch meat available as standard grocery store fare. The poster child is of course Spam. I determined that the Walmart Lite product had the flavor and consistency much like the no longer available product. I simply like it, and that is what I now purchase
