Dates have a nutritional value that is found nowhere else. We all need them. These dates are delicious and they last just like any other dried fruit. Consider that they were placed in King Tut's tomb as nourishment for him in the afterlife! The've been an important part of our diet for many years! Millions of years! They're delicious.

Perfect sized bag for folks that like to keep dates around but do not use a lot of them at one time. This bag is reclosable and the dates stay fresh. The dates are wonderful to add to baked goods or to your breakfast oatmeal for a more natural sweetener. They make a good snack filled with peanut butter or a nut.

Having these dates is all about making the choice for natural snacks as opposed to candy. This is the first time I've ever purchased/eaten dates. I opted for the Great Value brand as it's is the best value for the money spent. The dates serve as a great snack in the workplace lunchbox. Have shared with co workers on occasion.

These are the best dates out of Sunsweet and Dole. I will only buy Great Value. There's rarely a bad date in the package. I purchased Sunsweet, 3 bags, and got a handful of dates from all 3 total. Dole is the same way, maybe 2 or 3 good dates, the rest are as hard as bullets. Same goes for Sunsweet.

The dates have variable quality. Sometimes when I get them, they're softer and squishier (which is what I prefer). Other times, they're harder and drier. More often then not, they are on the drier side. However, they still taste good either way. They are sweet dates that can be eaten as a snack or used in recipes. I almost always soak them before cooking with them, since they're not soft enough to blend very well right out of the bag. While the quality is variable, they are a good price. They are by no means not the best dates I've had before, but dates can get expensive, and these dates are one of the better deals out there. It just depends on if you want fresh dates that cost a little more, or if you want to buy these dried dates and save a little money.

I knew that the Medjool dates are considered superior, but wanted to taste the Deglet Noor type. They are tougher, smaller and far less sweet than the Medjool type. Still they may be a good snack or good for baking, and are definitely a good value.

I only recommend this product as a baking ingredient. Although fresh, the dates are not juicy, don't have much taste and the texture is quite firm. I used them to make a date nut filling and they were perfectly fine. I would buy them again for baking but prefer a larger, juicier date for snacking.

I found these very dry and seemingly old (judging from the dry white color inside the date). They were Not soft, moist, and flavorful. They had little flavor at all. I cannot recommend these. I suggest buying a better brand, even if more expensive.

Do Not Buy. I have been buying these because of the price, but I have been experiencing throat and esophagus pain and discovered its from eating these. It's like there are shards of something in them. This was my first experience with any dates so I had nothing to compare them to. I've since changed brands and the difference is 100% better. These Walmart dates have tons of pits and occasionally I would get some that tasted medicine-ee or like a chemical. AVOID!

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME %26 MONEY! Needed to make long standing Holiday fruitcake. Opted for this “pitted” version to save time %26 ENERGY(getting old) but insides were WHITE-FIBROUS %26 STRINGY !!! Only able to use 6(SIX) pieces!!! Unable to provide requested photo as they're IN TRASH!
