(3 pack) Great Value Self-Rising Enriched Bleached Flour, 5 lb Bag

I buy Great Value brand for most items in my kitchen and this self rising flour is perfect. I used to buy the much more expensive brand just because that's what I'd always got, but one day the store was out of my usual brand so I got the Great Value brand and was just hoping it would work good for my homemade peach cobbler and it came out perfect, so I used it for making homemade chicken and dumplings again came out perfect, the real test was I made my famous big ol cat head homemade biscuits and was sold forever when they too came out perfect! I haven't bought my old brand since and that's been several years ago! Thank you for making a great product and helping me to keep my cost in the kitchen down!

I always use Great Value Flours and have never had a failed recipe. I'm not willing to pay more for flour and will continue to purchase this brand. Some recipes on the internet call for a specific pricier brand and I simply replace it with Great Value.

Best self-rising bread flour! Glad I tried this. I no longer need to waste my time with the "old fashion method" of making fresh bread. I made sour dough bread in my crockpot. Taste was wonderful. I added a little sprinkle of Rosemary seasoning to the flour and WOW was that delicious! All the ingredients are in this flour for "rising" - just follow a few recipes on-line for variety.

I never knew that self rising flour existed, or had ever made bread before because I found it so intimidating. Now I make bread three times a week whenever I'm craving it. It's so easy, you don't even have to use milk or anything but water if you're in bind, it's so cheaper and even healthier than store bought bread. I always thought I was super allergic to gluten and sugar so I didn't eat carbs but when you make it yourself without all the additives it doesn't affect your body the same way. But it is a bit expensive. More expensive than it comprehensively or meaningfully needs to be or should be. And i am dissatisfied with that

Great Value Self-Rising Flour is great for biscuits and gravy, bacon fat biscuits, when you brown the flour for biscuits and gravy it makes the gravy even better. Add a little Poultry Seasoning and the gravy for Chicken dinner is great. This is also good used for Soda Bread recipes.

This flour in no way rises like adding yeast to flour. However, does give more of an airy taste than using regular conventional flour. this flour seems to work out much better in things like Pizza crusts and cookies. if you're making some sort of a bread, you're definitely gonna want to purchase some yeast.

I use self rising flour for many things but mostly pancakes and biscuits. This flour give me a nice fluffy pancake but simply adding milk. Very hand flour to have on hand. You can also use tis to bread fried foods to get a betting coating that's better than regular flour breading.

I would definitely recommend this great value, self raising Flour it will Get the job done. I've been buying for years good for baking and so Good for the price of your money. Who ever shopped my order needs to find another job!!! They grabbed my flour bags, cornmeal and sugar by the top and chunked them in bags. Every single bag with those items had flour, cornmeal and sugar all leaked out into the Walmart bag. My cornmeal was opened completely from how it was grabbed up and put in the bags. I am VERY upset! I shouldn't have to wipe clean all my groceries because of someone else's negligence!!!!!!!!!

This particular bag of flour smelled and tasted old and musty or moldy and it didn't rise at all. It also had a tiny black bug in it. I had to pitch the whole bag bc I had already poured it into my flour canister and pitched the original bag. Hope I get my money back. I'd rather have the flour but I'm afraid of another bad bag.
