(3 pack) Great Value Sliced Black Olives, 2.25 oz

I love Sliced Black Olives. I can easily toss them into a salads for lunch, OR eat the entire can with nothing. No need to buy the pricier can, they're the same except you pay more for the NAME. The can is a convenient size and convenience is ALWAYS better.

These are fairly basic sliced black olives, but I found a couple things about them especially convenient. The 2.25 oz can is a good size for smaller dishes or recipes that do not need a huge amount of olives at once. I could easily use the can in one or two uses without feeling like a lot would go to waste and go bad or get thrown away. I also liked that the olives are already sliced, which makes them quick to add to different dishes. They work well as a topping for pizza or dips, and they are also good in pasta salads or mixed salads. Since they are sliced instead of chopped, they stayed fairly firm rather than turning mushy or soggy. The olives tasted fresh when I opened the can, and there was still a decent amount inside despite the smaller size. I could see these being useful for adding extra flavor to a lunch or dinner salad or other simple meals without much prep work. One thing worth noting is that the can does not have a pull tab, so a can opener is necessary. Also, it does look like Great Value may have recently redone their packaging as the can that arrived did not look anything like the picture which really made no difference but just something to be aware of so it doesn't come as a surprise. Other than that, the overall convenience and portion size made these easy to keep on hand for different dishes. The price for these seems like a decent value overall considering the fresh taste, pre-sliced format and convenient quantity in the can.

Great place to pick up sliced olives as I needed for a pasta salad, good price and can was not damaged, the expiration date was clear and easy to read. Can't remember if I had to use a can opener or a pop open top but would it would be perfect if a pop open top.

I’m really happy with these Great Value Sliced Black Olives. They have a great, mild flavor and stay nice and firm instead of getting mushy like some other brands. The 2.25 oz can is the perfect size for topping a large pizza or tossing into a salad without having a bunch of leftovers sitting in the fridge. Super convenient and a great value for the price!

While these sliced black olives aren’t my idea of an in-hand snack (you do you, of course), they are excellent to use in cooking. Especially if you don’t have the type of knife skills to evenly slice a whole black olive. I truly cannot tell the difference between these and any of the name brands. And you cannot beat the price!

These are really good pre-sliced olives. They are always fresh and have a great flavor. I use these when I want to add them to pizza or anything else that they would go well with. My wife likes to eat these straight out of the can sometimes as a snack. They have a good firm texture.

I was quite surprised at the taste and quality of this "store brand" product...it is every bit as good a quality product as the "name brand" we usually buy. Great on fresh garden salads, in tuna salad, in egg salad, or add some to your favorite sandwich (the mayo side).

I prefer Wole Olives for a Snack, but the presliced Olives are great for using in Recipes when cooking. I use these in Casseroles, Omelets, Salads, anytime I want an extra flavor to inhance the meal. The Quality of the Great Value Brand can be compared as equal to any brand of similar product, yet the value per ounce is superior.

Great Value sliced black olives are a staple in my pantry. We use them in salad, on pizza in dip and many other ways. I do recommend them to anyone who is looking for black olives

Order full ripe olives, and they substituted for sliced, but what they actually sent me was chopped, and I didn't realize it till I already opened it. As you can see it looks disgusting. Who is going to eat this? And not that but now Walmart wants me to return it. How in the heck am I supposed to return an open chain of mushy olives and I also have a young child and it's very difficult to load her up in the car and drive all the way to Walmart and stand in the customer service aisle with her while I wait for a refund for $1.99. Ridiculous Walmart, do better. Train your shoppers to look for the closest thing. If there are no full olives, why would they send you much olives makes no sense.
