There are 3 types of this teriyaki sauce - salty thin marinade, thicker marinade with sugar, sesame seeds and onion, and thick glaze/finishing sauce with little salt. I use this cheap GV marinade like a soy sauce on rice, or for soaking or freezing chicken or pork, then drain it off and cook with a thicker more expensive sauce like 'SoyVay'. The hardest kind to find is the thick low salt sweet finishing sauce but there is one by Panda Express that is very nice on rice or meat or to top fried rice. Tip - the Kikoman 'eel sauce' sold here is an excellent low priced thick and mild sauce similar to teriyaki but it is also good as a topping on avocado toast. Try this GV teriyaki on frozen chicken pieces, let it thaw and soak for two days in the fridge.

Is this a top-tier 5 star teriyaki sauce? No. Is it an awesome inexpensive teriyaki sauce used for recipes. marinades and other purposes? Yes. It is a matter of what you are looking to buy. If you want the best of the best, then you will be disappointed. If you want the pure raw flavor and power of teriyaki at an awesome price, then this is 5 star all the way. This would be great made into a BBQ sauce for wings, it has a nice soy base while adding a mild smoky flavoring. Some might find it brings a mild spicy heat with it, but those who really like heat level would never agree.

It represents great value for money and provides excellent ease of use right out of the bottle. It's the perfect, affordable shortcut for quick weeknight stir-fries and marinades.

A delicious addition for any meat dish. The flavor isn't overwhelming and a roast I marinated with this sauce has just a hint of teriyaki flavor. Definitely worth having around for different recipes

The biggest issue on GV soy sauce and teriyaki sauces is how thin they are when using them for cooking. if you have to use twice as much of the product you are actually paying the same as one bottle of kikomins soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. that's the reason for my rating.

Item tasted like straight up Soy Sauce not Teriyaki Sauce. I would not recommend this if you are looking for a Teriyaki Sauce or Teriyaki Stir Fry Sauce. Keep looking. I had a sm bottle of another brand but couldn't find it that's why I went with this one . Yuk!!!

Teri-yucky sauce. This stuff is absolutely revolting. It has the consistency of soy-sauce only a bit more tart, Very watery in consistency. This is not an item to get to save a bit of money on, to to just try and see how good/bad it is. It's disgusting.

This sauce tastes nothing like teriyaki sauce it tastes like soy sauce. When I first opened and used it in my recipe I thought I accidentally grabbed the soy sauce. This sauce is very salty, not sweet like teriyaki and has a thin consistency like soy sauce not thick like teriyaki. Don't waste your money unless you want soy sauce.

This tasted like and had the consistency of soy sauce. It wasn't like any other teriyaki sauce I've ever had, it just tasted salty. Honestly at first I thought we had gotten a bottle of soy sauce that had been mislabeled, but it did SMELL faintly like teriyaki, but that was about it.

This is NOT Teriyaki sauce. It is SALT sauce with soy. It lacks the ingredients of teriyaki, other than soy sauce. It tastes like high blood pressure.
