Great price for the ketchup and I was shock how big the bottle was paying such a low price and it's going to last me for a long time and I recommend it to for people who have children and large families or using when going out to different types of events that's serves hamburgers and hot dogs
Stop being a snob, Ketchup adds umami, that extra yum many can't define. Ketchup is easy way to add flavor to sauces if it calls for a little tomato but big flavor. Ketchup is essentially tomato, vinegar, pinch of sugar, garlic powder onion, powder and salt. Catsup is more complex and spicy
I've been eating ketchup for decades now, and I eat it with so many different foods. There's nothing offputting or weird about this ketchup. It's on par with Heinz, but the price is better. There's not a lot to say here other than that it's silly to pay more than you have to for basically the same product, so get this instead of on-brand stuff like Heinz.
Not only is this a Great value but it tastes as rich as much much more expensive ketchup's. The consistency is the same as any other top brand, it is not watery. When I first bought this I thought maybe they could sell it at a great price as it probably was a lot runnier but that is not the case at all ! I Only buy this now and fill my smaller bottles as they fit much better in the fridge. My husband loves ketchup on his fried egg sandwiches, hot dogs and meat loaf so we go through a fair amount and in the summer even more! So Glad I gave this a try as it sure saves a lot of money.
I enjoy Great Value ketchup on my hamburgers and with fries. My grandchildren like it on scrambled eggs. I make cocktail sauce with it. I like the taste and texture. It is a good value and with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I recommend Great Value Tomato Ketchup.
I used to be a Heinz Ketchup purist, but one time, my Walmart was out of stock of the size of Heinz Ketchup that I wanted, so I purchased the GV Ketchup instead. I never went back to Heinz Ketchup since. The taste of the two is very comparable, and the price difference between the two is insane.
This really lives up to its name, Great Value. It's the same quality and taste I expect from all ketchup, no matter how you spell it. Catsup or ketchup, it's a match to any brand claiming superior quality. Does any other on the Isle shelf get you a bigger container? One of these keeps me from having to order more and more. I like keeping a spare in my cabinet because ordering is so infrequent now with the price so nice, I never buy the smaller bottles unless it's a sudden pick nick or surprise gathering. Next size up is a cafeteria size service can in gallon sizes for large restaurants and institutions. Stick with this and every once in a while, give it a shake.
I kept an open mind when I first tried this ketchup. All other house brand ketchups I had tried in the past were sorely disappointing. This Great Value Ketchup, however, did not disappoint at all. I likely wouldn't be able to distinguish it from the "H" ketchups in a blind taste test. Absolutely good enough for me, especially given the price difference
Tastes good. I like that it comes out the hole quickly. But what I don't like is that it leaves a blob of ketchup above the hole after I stop squeezing. Either I have to wipe it down each time, or it stays there, leaving a mess. Also, it's rather thick, so near the end you have to store it upside down to get it to come out. It's not designed for that, though, so falls over unless you find a way to prop it up.
64 oz is a lot of ketchup. it takes me over a month, if not longer to go through a bottle. for a family its perfect. especially with the price point. sure its not Heinz or Hunts, but name brand condiments are for weirdos and people who put Ranch on everything.
