Believe it or not my son and I made a peach cobbler! It turned out delicious and very juicy. Deep dish cobbler using 2 large cans heavy syrup, 2 reg size cans with lite strup and 2 cans of peaches with fruit juice. 3 boxes of cake mix and 4 sticks of butter. The pan was very sturdy! I will make another cobbler, I bought 2 pans didn't need 2 pans.
When I divorced there was a lot I just didn't have the heart to take with me. That was 16 years (?) ago and I never got around to replacing some things. I've tried these pans before and they worked well. However, the turkey I bought this year must be a prize winner because it is big. I think I will line the oven rack with foil as well as the pan. I'll wrap the turkey in it too. I would like to share with you a couple of things I didn't know about handling the bird 🐦 Don't ever stuff the bird and let it sit. Bake right away. Don't thaw it a couple of weeks in advance, because it could make you sick or even kill you. Take care now! PS If you use this pan it may be a good idea to place it on a baking sheet for sturdiness!
This is a very heavy duty aluminum pan, and it holds a 24 pound turkey, vegetables and all of the drippings fantastically! The aluminum is so thick that it is a challenge (ok, I'm 70 and many things are a challenge) to turn up the rim of the pan so the drippings from the steam go back into the pan after accumulating on the foil tent over the turkey. Yes, you have to place it on a jelly roll pan ( one of those cookie sheets with rims ) to support moving the pan when full. That's always a given with an aluminum roaster pan. I will continue to use this product/ brand into the future as I am extremely pleased with the quality and performance. You could actually reuse it if you wanted to (after washing). I personally don't do that, but it held up remarkably well and never lost its' shape.
This pan is huge and deep!!!!! I didn't realize how large it was and could have used a smaller pan. This will definitely cook your ham, chicken, or turkey.
This disposable roasting pan is not flimsy to handle for the 12-pound turkey I cooked. Afterwards, the pan washed out easily and can be used many more times. Very deep as well. Great product!
Bought these to cook my dressing in for Thanksgiving. They are BIG and I made plenty. The only thing I wish they had was a foil lid for refrigerator storage of leftovers but I used aluminum foil and it was fine. They are cheap enough that I did throw it away rather than wash it or keep it for the next time. Highly recommend.
I made a HUGE 7 layer Christmas lasagna which had to have weighed quite a bit. The pan didn't bend the slightest when lifted into or out of the oven, nor was it pierced by the sharp knife I used to carve it up. A little pricey for a disposable aluminum pan, but considering how tough melted cheese is to clean off a normal pan, this made it very worthwhile. overall 4 stars.
The pans are good, for the most part. The only thing is they are a little more flimsy than they used to be. I would still recommend them. They are a good value.
Product is good quality. Got one shipped for Thanksgiving 2024 and it came in a cardboard box and worked wonderfully to hold a 21lb turkey. Got another shipped this year and Walmart shipping sent it in a plastic bag instead of a cardboard box... Pan was received literally folded in half, crushed, bent up and mangled. I should have expected as much from the employees Walmart hires. Tried to straighten it out best I could and didn't think to test it out for cracks in the aluminum by filling it with water and letting it sit. Some time into roasting the turkey, all of the juices leaked all over the bottom of the stove and filled my house with awful, burnt turkey juice smoke. It is the middle of winter and I have to vent the house with open windows and fans to try to save my pets from lung damage from smoke inhalation while family is showing up for Thanksgiving. Thank you so much to Walmart's top quality employees for a memorable Thanksgiving.
I usually don't have a problem with these pans and use them every year, but this year, well, we almost had a fire. I set the turkey in it, covered it in foil, did everything I usually do and a few hours later I opened the oven to the realization that there was apparently a hole in the bottom of the pan. Juices everywhere, smoke everywhere, and a bird that wasn't quite ready. I made do, cleaned up the puddle, added a pan at the bottom to catch any fluid, and finished cooking it. Was very very thankful that the house didn't burn down for Thanksgiving!
