This chili is vegan and gluten free and so good. I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is but I have been getting three cans 1-2 times a month to enjoy for lunch. It is quick and fast and like really tatsy. I'm so glad they changed the name to plant based because I heard it used to be called vegetarian so I never even looked at it and figured there was no way it would be gluten free and vegan. I have been missing out and glad i found it on walmart online when I did a search for vegan chili and it popped up one day. It is not the healthiest because of the sodium none of the can food are but this one has so much flavor. I like to mix in one can of great value no salt pinto beans and one can of no salt corn and stretch it into two meals and eat them on gluten free taco wraps. So good. I also mixed it with a can of great value organic lentils before and it was a good match too. I would recommend highly, this is as good if not better than Amy's chili in flavor and a better value.
I was looking for more plant based foods, and I was worried I would hate almost everything. This. I love! I cannot tell, and yes, I served it on chips to friends, and no one knew it was plant based. Not only that, but I buy the 3 pack, and I don't feel the guilt, LOL
Absolutely one of my favorites! It's plant based, but is made so incredibly well that it actually taste like it's meat. It's fairly lower in calories, has a good amount of fiber and protein, and really fills me up plus it's delicious and taste like homemade to me
I am always skeptical trying a plant based product that has not been critiqued by someone I know, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor in this chili ! Now I will be the one spreading the word!
I love this Chili by Hormel. I had been trying another brand that no one carries now. The Hormel Plant Based Chili w/beans was scarry at 1st. Now i won't get any other kind. This is awesome!!
I decided to become a vegetarian years ago. I like to eat chile for lunch or dinner. This is a good product without meat.
Can not find this product on shelf in store Like it so enjoy it often
We love this chilli. The only reason we didnt grade it 5 stars is that every single can is dented, some very badly dented. Truth in advertising would require that they tell the buyer upfront that all cans are dented.
Wildly gross. Has super high sodium. Too salty to eat, and I love salt. The canned popped soooo loud when I opened it, like it was going to explode. Throwing the rest out. Also, thought it was more vegetable based, didn't realize it was made with faux soy meat.
AWFUL. Has weird burnt taste? VERY high sodium. Only 300 calories. I bought 4 cans and I'm throwing them all out. I've never ordered something I couldn't eat like this before. Get the Sprague vegan sloppy joe can instead.
