When I moved into a new house in November I noticed rust stains in the bathroom sink, toilet and bathtub. I had heard about this stuff and decided to try it. It works amazing. I sprayed it on let it sit for about 5 minutes then rinsed it with water and the stains were gone. The smell is strong so open a window or turn on the fan when you're using it.
Works great! Doesn't take very much or very long to remove rust stains. We used it in the bathroom, when our new house was found to have rusty water and/or rusty pipes that stained many different surfaces. For Example: the ceramic floortile, fiberglass tub enclosure and pre-formed sink/counter combination, swirled to look like marbled stone [standard combo material, resin? Not sure what to call the material.] It doesn't take but one to two squirts, wait a minute or two, then take a rug to the stained spot, if the stain is even still there!
Very effective at removing hard water stains from all surfaces- shower, toilet, sink, washing machine detergent dispenser, faucets, hoses, and more. Extremely simple and effective. Even, controllable spray that requires minimal scrubbing or “elbow grease” to remove stains. Super easy to rinse or wipe away. I wish I would have taken before/after photos of the effectiveness!
Worked magic on my bathtub. I have a well with a lot of iron in it and it stains the bathtub. I couldn't believe my eyes. Just sprayed on it and the rust disappeared in front of my eyes, just for a minute or two.
This is first product I've tried in over 25 years that truly removes the rust, sulfer and salt that builds on our shower walls. NOT only that but scrubbing is minimal. The chemical smell is a bit strong but fans and open windows help. I may very pleased that it works so well
Always super careful, apprehensive about using these types of products w. pets in the house. Our well water is extremely troublesome, even thwarting our water softener. Things tend to get a very stubborn layer of minerals/ rust, despite regular cleaning, so I didn't hold out much hope? Used Iron Out on a shower/ shower curtain (tested a corner 1st) Pleasantly surprised by how LOW ODOR the product is and how fast, EFFICIENTLY it removed the orange staining on our fiberglass tub/ shower %26 plastic curtain!! Very happy w. this, would definitely purchase again!
we have extremely hard water with iron in it. Our sprinkler system sprays our lp gas tank and the mist hits 1 corner of the house and both turn orange from the iron throughout the summer. iron out spray is my answer to keep this problem under control. I just spray the area, let it sit and wipe off to remove the discolored area then rinse with water
Rust stains were left in the bath tub from a bucket. No one else has been able to get them out. After seeing and reading about this product I gave it a try. The stains are disappearing. Yes it has taken a couple of days. However, spraying the product on the dry tub is working.
the spray bottle sprayer on both of mine leak and dont spray out as well. you have to pump it a million times. never had this issue. i order a lot of iron out either here or elsewhere because i have well water and it works really good taking off the stains
I was hoping this product would remove rust off of our 4 bicycles that were purchased a year ago down at the beach — but didn't realize that the chrome handlebars, wheel hubs, pedals and kickstands would rust. This product suggests 1 or 2 applications…I ended up with 5-7 applications per bike with limited effect. Frankly, my fingernail removed more rust than this product. We have half the spray bottle left, but won't bother using it on the bikes (but hope there might be an application where it might prove helpful). This was the highest rated product but its function fell way short of claims.
