If your looking for a way to add more flavor and out do Aunt Wandas banana bread this is your answer! I used this in my banana bread recipe and everyone couldn't get enough! This brings whatever your cooking or baking to another level. Making you the master of the kitchen .
I absolutely love banana everything. Artificial and natural flavor. I put a little bit of this in my milk and frothed it and poured it over espresso and it was sooooo goood. I really enjoyed it and buying the banana flavor this way is much cheaper than buying coffee syrup. And more versatile!
I received this extract for free in exchange for my honest review. Initially, I was leery about using a banana extract because I know that too much of any extract can be disgusting and I'm not a huge imitation banana person myself (I'm looking at you, banana flavored candy and ice-cream, gross). But, I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. I added about 1/2 tsp into a pint of homemade frozen banana Greek yogurt and it really made a difference without tasting fake. I would say that a little goes a long way, but I'm looking forward to adding this to my repertoire for homemade frozen treats and baked goods! I would repurchase this product.
I received the McCormick Banana Extract and immediately made a list of banana dishes to make. We had banana pancakes and, of course, chocolate chip banana bread. I used equal amounts of vanilla and banana extract. It left the banana bread full of banana flavor without tasting artificial. McCormick always has the highest standards and flavor. I would absolutely recommend this extract.
I used the extract as suggested on the back of the package as an enhancer in banana bread. I was very much aware of the artifical additive, but it didn't taste bad. It was just very much extra banana-y. I recieved this product in exchange for an honest review.
The banana flavor is sweet and concentrated without smelling overly artificial. I originally got this with the idea of using it in my Ninja Creami to make banana chocolate chip ice cream, and I think it would be a great way to add more banana flavor without having to add extra fruit and change the texture. I also like that it seems versatile enough to use in banana bread, pancakes, smoothies, frosting, and other desserts. A small amount should go a long way, so the bottle should last quite a while.
This has great banana flavor without being overpowering! I highly recommend! I used this banana extract to modify a recipe that called for mashed bananas. I wanted to add pumpkin but didn't want to mess up the consistency of the recipe. So I used pumpkin instead of banana and then added this banana extract! It tasted amazing. I plan to add it to a coffee drink next! I received this product for free in exchange for writing an honest review.
I really enjoyed this product. It's a great addition to any at home baker's pantry. While I did get this item for free in exchange for a review, I would repurchase. It gave my vegan banana bread a nice added banana kick without a fake banana taste. Only negative would be the label on the bottle was very off center.
I was skeptical of this product at first and decided to use it in oatmeal per the suggested use on the box! I paired the banana flavored oatmeal with a fresh banana. While I couldn't really detect the extract at first, I noticed the after taste. I also tried it in banana bread and thought the same thing. It definitely made the banana flavor come out more but it gave it an artificial taste. There is a reason that most of the recipes for banana extract are paired with fresh banana.
The family used it as the packaging suggested as there weren't many recipes online. When blended into the strawberry smoothy, it gave only a slight hint of banana but a very biting taste to the children. The same with the pudding. If used for baking or in a way for alcohol to burn off, then it was fine for children. Pancakes had a flavor though a bit artificial. It will not take the place of real bananas, though the smell is quite appealing.
