THIS IS MY VERY FAVORITE MET-Rx Big 100 Protein Bar. I love this flavor. When it's fresh, it is awesome... Also, I'm bummed with this flavor, more than any other, is out of stock...
My husband uses these as a meal replacement for breakfast. He swears by them. His dietician approved saying the carbs were high but they were acceptable to meet his goals if limited to one daily.
the flavors are good. some people like the chocolate bult I love the apple pie and blueberry. they really last and provide protein and other nutritional benefits.
Great additional flavor with no chocolate and the bonus of no high caffeine ingredients. The vanilla coating drizzled and spaced apart on top of the blueberry flavor coating top is tasty without excessive vanilla bursts. The main bar is medium dense with enough strength to stay together biting chunks off the top of the bar being held in the torn open wrapper for low mess quick food situations. I enjoyed the Blueberry Cobbler Meal Bars.
Texture was so much nicer than all others, and taste is exactly as discribed. Definitely recommend, takes care of cravings, even for sugar
I was hoping for more blueberry taste and less bird seed taste. I only eat have a bar at a time. They will fill you up, and it's not really a snack. Apple-butter sold out so I tried something new.
The first time I ate one it was delicious and the cookie middle part was moist as well, not to mention the blueberry topping tasting like a blueberry tart. The next time I ate one it was hard and the topping looked and tasted stale. That's strange...the expiration is 8 months away. I decided to try to compare Walmart's expiration box of these to others but they were all the same expiration date so until there is a fresher shipment (and unfortunately we'll never know when), I'd pick another like maybe apple. The cookie crunch looks "fresh" but I haven't tasted it yet. All in all, 30 grams of protein for this bar is pretty decent. You can slice them up, pretend it's your sweet treat and it does the trick (very filling). I like white chocolate so I usually go for the fruit options. ****Be aware of the fact that it has bioengineered ingredients! That is another star taken off.
It taste absolutely nothing like blueberry cobbler, in fact, you can't taste the blueberry at all. I was very disappointed in the flavor of this. They were also very hard %26 dried out. The apple pie and cinnamon churro flavors are much better.
I honestly don't think I lived up to the hype. It's very expensive in doesn't taste that good. I wouldn't buy it again straight up.
First thing I noticed was a strong smell like fake fruit. This was before unwrapping it. Then, the fruit filling had no resemblance to blueberries at all and also tasted like it smelled. The cobbler and protien part was ok but pretty sweet. The rest of the bar was was dipped in frosting, with extra icing on top. Way too sweet. And one bar has 400 calories ! I looked at the ingredient list and can't believe all the stuff in them that I've never heard of. And so much sugar! Won't be buying them again. To be fair, I do love the cinnamon churro ones.
