(3 pack) Milpas New Mexico Dried Chili Pods, 16 oz Bag

These were of good quality, supple and not hard or brittle. I considered deducting one star due to the small size of many of the pods, and the fact that a few were in pieces, but this is largely irrelevant to typical uses. And the price (under $5 for 16 oz) was the best I've found anywhere, so it was a great value. Flavor is very mild, virtually no heat. Excellent for very mild versions of enchilada sauce, chilaquiles, chili con carne, etc.

This is an excellent chili pepper for people who just want to add a little spice to a dish. It has a relatively low capsasin number of approx 1000. I used it for a recipe with pork shoulder and it came out great.

I love buying this at Walmart since dry chili can cost up to 9 or $10 a pound in other stores, but here it is very cheap I love it

Wonderful Full flavor chile. Berry, Raisiny flavors with a nice heat. Perfect for sauces and salsas. I use it daily on everything at this price.

They appear to be nice chili pods at a real good price for 1 lb. The label says they are a product of Mexico/China/Peru. Real dried chili grown in NEW MEXICO from NM seeds e.g. Hatch chili are much more expensive. Other commenters say they taste good so maybe a real bargain.

It has a good fragrance like paprika, and reasonable price. For me, it has no spicy taste, and I needed to buy the Arbol Chile pods.

These chilis have no flavor. None.

It had pantry moths. I found moths all over my pantry. I had to clean everything and treat. I tossed so much food. I found dozens of larvae and moths inside the bag. It's awful! It's unacceptable
