As a Type 1 Diabetic these are by far the BEST tortillas out there with low carbs (not zero for a T1D, we have to go off total cabs not net). They have GREAT taste and makes a perfect quesadilla with a bit of butter to toast it up!! Highly recommend to T1D's and also those looking for low or 0 net carbs!
I'm diabetic and avoid regular bread. These keep my glucose from rising fast. I make a wrap sandwich with one of these. Sometimes I sprinkle one with shredded cheese and an Italian seasoning, then bake it until the edges are golden. Then I fold and cut into wedges to eat with a meal or as a snack.
I've recently taken on an anti-inflammatory diet, cutting out white flour, so these tortillas made their way to my shopping cart. And I'm not even gonna lie, these things smell like dirt. But they actually taste pretty good. I was actually quite imoressed with how good they are, given the smell. I use these the same as I would any other wrap. Turkey, tacos, etc. The only thing I have found is they are more delicate than other wraps. I have to be more careful when rolling them.
These tortillas are so good! If you're a diabetic or looking to lose weight, these are a great option to add to your food selection. It tastes just like the regular with only a few calories and sugar. The added fiber helps to make you full faster as well. Throw some veggies and seasoning on it (lemon pepper), the whole family loves it!
I eat low carb/keto, and finding an item like this is great! I use vegan meats to make my burritos 🌯 and soft tacos 🌮 , as one brand is sold in a package as “Taco M'eat” and is already seasoned. Most of the time I don't even have to heat/lightly steam these in the microwave as they are just so soft already. Saves me a step in prep! The tortillas are tasty 😋 and either fold or roll beautifully without tearing. I've had some that just sort of fell apart in spots when trying to pick up a burrito, and that's MESSY. I like to have a “hand burrito” over a plated one, although I do go all out occasionally and do the whole shebang with red sauce and melted queso blanco on top… which obviously requires a fork to eat it. These are the perfect size for a slightly large soft taco 🌮 or a smallish burrito 🌯. Regardless of what you use them for I recommend them. (I even cut them up and fry them to make tortilla chips to eat with my homemade queso blanco!)
Must have as a bread substitute for diabetics. It makes super great quiche crust. It is great just as it is. toasted, fried. I love making the whole wheat ones into dipping crackers. Salt it, put it in the air fryer. When they get hard . break them into sections like tostitos. put it in the air fryer.
My husband started the keto diet about 6 months ago. At first I was completely lost about what to make for him. This tortilla bridged the gap for taco night at the beginning of the journey. I have eaten a few myself, and I will say they don't taste as good as a regular tortilla, but they get the job done. They taste a touch earthy for lack of better words.
Overall as a person who LOVES eating tacos this is a great alternative to eating the usual king if you're needing something else. Personally, the only thing I dislike about it is how thin it is. Though with how much toppings I put on mine it might not be that big of a deal.
I didn't order this and I would prefer to have what I order. If Walmart doesn't have the stuff people order they should call and ask them about substitutes before just doing it. Sometimes people can't eat things that are sent and have to return them. And then it's just a big fight trying to return it, because even though it's not my fault Walmart won't stand by what they did.
I put in my order around 10AM. The only available pick up times was between 9-10PM. No problem. At 9:49PM I received a message that my order was not ready, and to wait until I hear from Walmart before I come to pick up my order. At 10:37PM I get another message that my order will not be ready. I stayed up just to get this order, as a winter storm is moving into the area and I have to get up at 5am to go to work. Thanks Walmart. No biggie for you, but this customer will never shop with your company again.
