This is a nice lightweight Balsawood. What I like about it is that the edges are rounded over on both sides, so if you need a two sided plaque both sides look finished.

I have bought many of these over the past couple of years. Everything for crafting to gifting. I primarily use acrylic paint and have never had any issues when painting. You can paint your own message or use it for decoupage. Measured distance of the plaque is correct and also very nice (not too large but not too small). I find myself buying these on a regular basis now.

I have bought several of these in all sizes. My husband likes to use them to practice his wood burning tool.. and my daughter loves to paint them. We bought a whole pkg of small circles at Xmas time and we all painted ornaments for our tree, it was a great family project!

It was smooth and easy to paint. It was the perfect blank for the gift I was creating. Very easy to work with and was a good price.

this product is okay. not sure if I'll buy it again, but it has very rough routing edges on it so those will have to be delicately sanded. the wood itself is nice, a good and smooth surface that takes paint well. the worst part is probably the Staples they put in it on the back is almost impossible to remove without damage if you can remove it . it can be left in it's not going to hurt anything or you could cover it up if you flipped it over with something but that's the downside that will probably keep me from purchasing me this again in the past they didn't use staples but they've been using the Staples for the last year.

Why would a company staple a hanger on one side that is thick and hard to remove without damaging the wood. In the reverse side, they use a glue for a label that does not peel of in one piece. It took me 5-10 minutes for each piece to remove tags and hangers.

so stapling the front of the item is idiotic and ruined the project. Not just any staple; nope, a nice thick one that is difficult to remove without marring the wood and then it leaves two unwanted holes to contend with. So stupid. The reverse side cannot be used because the ridiculous label is intended to survive a nuclear bomb--and even looks like it has anti theft components. Weird. Don't waste your money. I have no idea how I will use this product. It cannot be used in the project intended so I tried to fill the holes with a bit of wood putty. Nope--sucks the putty in and pops out the other side. Covered with painter tape on the bottom side and it popped up from the front and then cracked. This is a total waste of wood.
