Box did come a little squash because there was a whole bunch of stuff in my package. But yet sometimes I'll get a package that's huge and only have one thing in it. This is my first time trying the cereal and I love it.
This is my all-time favorite quick breakfast. The grain and flakes are not sweetened, but the raisins and dates add just the right amount of sweet taste. It starts out really crunchy, but gets softer as the milk soaks in. The pecan pieces stay crunchy. There are several other varieties of Great Grains, and I love them all. This one is my favorite. It is probably even good for me also. BRAVO POST CEREALS!
I enjoy this cereal with cold whole milk. The cereal is lightly sweetened compared to the ol' childhood favorites. Adding the date pieces, raisins, and pecans, Post Cereal gives it an extra flavor boost. It is not inexpensive but if within your budget, you can enjoy this cereal without the guilt from consuming way too much processed sugar in one sitting. The cereal box is considerably flimsier than in past years and annoying when you try to pour the cereal out. If you struggle with the box as I do, just throw it out and keep the bagged cereal.
First time trying Post Great Grains cereal. I like the dates and pecans and granola clusters in this one. I wish the box contained 24 or more ounces instead on 19 ounces. This is an alternative to Quaker Simply Granola cereal which is $5.54 per 24.1 oz. box. Probably at little less sweet than Quaker, but I like a change from almonds and raisins to dates and pecans.
POSITIVES: --Healthy compared to alternatives --Vitamin enriched --Multiple textures %26 flavor profiles w/ the pecans, bran flakes, raisins, %26 dates. --Filling NEGATIVES: --Pricey, even in family-size/mega-size --Raisins %26 dates are fairly similar to me and commonly used in cereals, I would have preferred different fruits like blueberries %26 cranberries
The bag inside just got SMALLER inside. The bag used to be a lot wider than that. There is a big gap of space on the side , when it was even like that before .
My cereal bowl doesn't look like the one on the package. Very misleading with the large pieces of pecans and clusters. The package looks like the picture was shot with a Zoom lens on.
This used to be one of my favorite cereals but I haven't bought it for awhile. I was so disappointed, it is nothing like it used to be. It's almost like they grinded it, it's really fine and the taste was not good at all, very bland. I definitely will not be purchasing anymore post great grain cereal.
I love this cereal, but obviously the shopper/driver did not know how to pack groceries because she put this cereal box in with chicken that was leaking. gross
Bought this cereal thinking it is healthy and clean without any man-made chemicals but I was completely wrong, it contains BHT which, by the way is also used in herpes and HIV medication. I don't know about any of you, but I don't think our food should contain chemicals that are used in medication!!!!!!
