I don't know what's going on with these crackers. The recipe has changed over the last couple years or so. They seem like they're almost stale and don't have that crispy 'snap' that saltines are famous for. Still edible, but disappointing. I haven't done it yet but I may switch to the butter crackers. At least they taste better.
This is not about the crackers. I use the drive up frequently and in the past it has been great but recently I am getting the wrong products. I have tried to see if it is just the substitute but I have put no substitutions and they still give me the wrong products. I’m kind of picky on my choices that’s why if I can’t get what I want I just don’t that item. Maybe if it’s possible they could scan the products to match the order. Pat Chenoweth
I’ve eaten this brand of crackers since I was a child. There were some things my mother just wouldn’t compromise on. This is one of those things. And I’m the same way. Although I love many of the Walmart brand items, when it comes to saltines this is the only brand I will eat. Often it’s the simple things that deserve to be the name brand.
Who knew I was so picky about soda crackers! They have to be crispy, strong, hold together, and crumble well! You can eat them plain, use them in cooking, make homemade peanutbutter crackers, or serve them with cheese! You really can't go wrong with Premium crackers!
Another easy one by this old guy. I tried the home brand and, a couple other brands else where and "Premium" is premium. My easiest way to judge the the taste and other factors is my old standby snack: strawberry preserves on crackers with milk. This seventy something still likes the kid type snack that bring together all the rate able factors. Yeah, you're on your own on cost. You can go cheaper or more expensive depending on your taste and budget.
The is not a rating of the product itself I just wanted to share how it was delivered from Walmart. I don't know it the order pickers at Walmart done this or the Uber driver but when I received the box of crackers the box was open. I guess it's alright all four cracker packages were still sealed it's just now-a-days you can trust something that's been open. Here is a pic of how it was when I got it.
The product is great. They are Saltine crackers. The problem is that the pickers that pull the orders must be using the cracker boxes for football practice. Over and over on the pick up orders the crackers are broken into pieces; boxes still sealed. ROUGH HANDLING somewhere along. We stopped buying them in pick up orders.
SInce COVID began the salt has disappeared from saltines. Sometimes there is one or two grains of salt, most time zero grain. I eat saltines one at a time in my hand daily. Nowadays I pick one up and it breaks into pieces all over the counter and on the floor. At the start of a pack, in the middle, at the end, it matters not: pieces. And I paid good money for this! Please someone, make some real saltines, you know, the kind that include salt as in the name, and the kind that don't break apart unless you actually squeeze them hard.
Fining crushed crackers in the box when box is in perfect shape. The company is putting a lot less crackers in the packages too and the crackers are much thinner with bigger holes. I call them about this to and got a coupon for another box and the coupon did not work!
I normally like these crackers with soup or chili or on its own with some cheese. And quite honestly I normally buy them elsewhere however sick and decided to do an order and have it delivered, and these were absolutely inedible. They were stale and an appetizing. I had to split them out and threw the box away. Needless to say I will not order them again from Walmart.
