It's more like 2 minute cooking time, but still a quick, healthy and delicious breakfast before work. I personally put apple butter (2 full spoons for about 2 servings) after I take it out of the microwave. It tastes just like their apple and cinnamon instant oatmeal but healthier and cheaper.
The "Sale" price for this 42 oz item increased by $.12 this last week. Item still shows $.12/ounce (which math is correct), but now costs more for same advertised product. If it weren't on sale...this would be considered shrinkflation. Seems a little shady to sneak in price increases in the sale prices like this.
I make this every single morning in my instant pot. One cup of water, one cup of oats, five minutes pressure. Couldn't be easier and these are so good! I use a half cup of frozen blueberries to cool it off, add a little bit of sweetener and it's my favorite breakfast!
Only 3 starts because there is a MAJOR QUALITY DIFFERENCE between the Quaker grits in bags over the grits in the containers! They are supposed to be the same, but they are not! Smaller amount in container over larger amount in bags. %231: QUAKERS GRITS SOLD IN CONTAINER ARE WHITER AND HAS A SMOOTHER CLEANER TASTE and cooks FASTER! %232: QUAKERS' GRITS SOLD IN BAGS TASTE MORE GRAINY AND ARE TAN IN COLOR and takes longer to cook!
Been buying the little flavored varieties but decised to go with the more natural version. I tried the quick oats variety but was disappointed. This one solved the problem beautifully excellent texture and taste. The quick version isn't much quicker and ain't as good.
i was not raised on oats nor my kids. at 75 i've graduated from the 1$ oatmeal cups which are good with all the different flavors to making my own from scratch. im really enjoying seeing how close i can make mine taste like the dollar cups. im doing pretty good and having fun doing it. i have some maple flavor syrup that i consider that it's too sweet that i use. it working out great, better than sugar.
I've always thought oatmeal is oatmeal so just get the generic cheaper variety. Well I ran out and had to have some shipped and I could not get just one carton of the generic. Glad I did because they are NOT the same. This seemed to have little dust in it and the oat flakes seem to be much larger than the generic brand. If you're just adding oatmeal to something like bread the finer ones are OK but if you're actually having a bowl of oatmeal I will pay the difference from now on for this brand.
I ordered this product and it came in open %26 damaged. I had it replaced and the replacement came in open and damaged. Both pictures are attached. The plastic wrap around the cap does absolutely nothing. Quaker needs to add a glued on paper/plastic seal across the top that physically seals the product like the larger oatmeal contains.
I love my oatmeal is the best thing.Any time of day. I eat it with dark raisins.I eat it with yogurt, yogurt, and dark.Raisins anyway it's just wonderful. So of course , I'm going to say , I highly recommend!!!!! I could literally eat this for every meal of the day.I love it that much!!!!!
Good product. I bought these rather than quick oats for baking cookies. Like that they are non-GMO. If I can't find/afford organic I at least try to find non-GMO. The inner liner is a bit odd. If you don't want to use the cut-out pour option you still need to put that liner back on; otherwise the outer lid won't fit tightly so don't throw it away like I almost did.
