Good homemade taste, a little tomato juice helps.
My favorite soup of all time! It's so rich in flavor. I feel like I'm eating at an expensive Italian restaurant. It has a bit of a chunkier texture but it's also very smooth. It's delicious. It's not too spicy. It's percent of you want a hearty meal.
The reason I will not recommend, is because it's way too high in sodium. If you eat this, it's going to be all that you can eat all day if you have high blood pressure. Absolutely NO reason for 880mg of sodium, per serving.
I do like the glass jar and the quality. A bit expensive is my only complaint.
The ingredients are clearly quality food, but there is a prevailing "taste" that is ruinous. I have no idea what it is, but the last soup of this brand was like that also. It is a very good brand, reliable in other products, but I will never get one of these jarred soups again.
This soup was good, I would not rave about it. Salt content was good. I don't remember if it was on sale but do not pay regular price for this as I think this brand has become too popular for the quality. I had ordered the sauce to try it and there was a problem with delivery so I never got it
okay, this soup to me was not yummy. it's kind of a sad Tuscan beef soup. vegetables were minimal. it's mostly broth with quite a bit of grease on top. very heavy on the oregano. totally needed some flavor. I jazzed it up cuz I opened it and I didn't want to waste it. too expensive for that! salt pepper parmesan this helped a bit. honestly, if I wouldn't have been too busy I would have used it as a base for another soup or a casserole. MAYBE, that's a big maybe. I think I found one piece of fresh tomato and one piece of quarter inch cut roast beef. and about 2 tbsp of carrots. totally not worth the money. I tried it. I'm over it. I will not buy this again. I gave this three stars because I like the fact that it's in a jar. although I did taste the tomato I didn't find them. all the other ingredients were kind of ground up. I would say not really identifiable? I actually think there was a tomato stem in there as well. It was black by the time it got to me in the jar. I like to try different things that I can keep handy in the pantry if need be. so this was it. if I were to try it again, the next jar might be better. you never know. if you want to try it, try it. everyone has different opinions. for me I'm better off making my own and it's a lot cheaper. and I know what's going in it.
Soup was awful. Slight vinegar taste. No beef taste whatsoever. More of a watered down tomato soup. Vegetables were soggy and nonexistent. Little flakes of meat. Don't know where the high positive reviews came from other than those people must staring to death or had no taste buds. Raos generally has excellent products. But the Chef that developed this needs to be fired and quality control division needs to be reevaluated
The soup was watery and it tasted like mildew. I also bought the gnocchi one and that too had the same consistency and disgusting taste. I wouldn't buy any Rao's soups. Save your money and your time. I DO NOT recommend.
I'm 78 years old and have to say this soup was so bad I tasted it and poured it out. How did this brand get such a high rating?
