Oldie but goodie
Ingredients are not the cleanest but boy do this outperform the leading more expensive brands. A staple in my baker's pantry. Totally recommended.

When baking cakes, I only use Royal baking powder.
Royal Baking Powder acts quickly. It raises and makes batter lightness.

COLORFUL CAN...TERRIBLE PRODUCT!
The store was out of my usual brand, so I gave this one a go. I made my tried and true old school recipe of chicken and dumplings that has NEVER failed me...but the dumplings turned out HORRIBLE this time! They had no solid structure, and practically just disintegrated while steaming atop the chicken broth...and that has NEVER happened before! I made the same recipe again a few weeks later...with the same bad results! I FINALLY got my usual brand of baking powder...and the dumplings turned out perfect! (These are the kind of dumplings that are like little drop biscuits that steam-cook on top of the chicken filled chicken broth).
