These Vigo roasted red peppers are an absolute staple in my pantry! They are top-tier quality at a fantastic price. If you're like me and love a little vinegary kick (which can be super hard to find with roasted peppers!), here is my favorite hack: when I first open the jar, I pour a bit of the packing water, splash in some of my favorite vinegar, and give the jar a good shake. It infuses them with the perfect tangy bite! I add these to burgers, omletes, avacado toast and even my spaghetti and meatballs!
Many pickled vegetables have an overpowering taste of vinegar, but not these fire roasted red peppers. Cut them up and put them onto green or pasta salad. mix them into tuna salad or scrambled eggs, puree them and add them to cream of tomato soup, use larger chunks in stir fried vegetables, blend them with cottage or cream cheese and make your own bread toppings or dips. Flavorful, versatile and easy to store in your pantry, until you open them, then they need to go in the fridge. Reasonably priced, great value
Recommend that you always have some in your pantry. Can use them as they are (taste great) or you can make sauces - e.g., put them in a food processor with touch of olive oil, basil, almonds (not roasted), dash of cottage cheese. Blender on. You have a wonderful rich sauce that can be used on pasta. Vigo has done all the hard work for you- peppers cleaned, skins off, roasted to perfection.
WOW! I haven't had these in a very long time but what a great addition to my salad!! I slice them and add them. They're roasty and sweet and really good!! You can also stuff a boneless chicken thigh with a couple slices, grated mozzarella and panko bread crumbs. Secure with toothpicks, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, Romano cheese. Bake@ 350° for 30 minutes or until internal temp is 165°
Not only are these great tasting, they are the perfect size. With all these types of foods you have a few days to consume after opening and refrigerating them. The 10 once jars are the way to go. I ordered the 4 pack, that way the remaining jars stay sealed until we are ready to consume them. Definitely a Great price.
These are great peppers and I appreciate having them to add to recipes. They are large though, you will have to remove them and slice them up. I had one pepper take up the majority of the jar.
They were So easy to work with. They were bright and still held a crunch and these are a Staple for Italians and now I found my new brand!!!!! I bought 6 jars since my first experience with VIGO!!!!!
I dont prefer the pepper to break apart so much from being stored in so much water. Otherwised the taste is great and and easy product to use to replace roasting the peppers myself.
everything good except they didn't adequately chop up the pepper. the pepper in the jar is almost completely whole, making it difficult to get out of the jar and then you have to cut or tear it and throw back what you don't want. almost like a packaging or preparation defect. but the peppers are delicious
Good peppers. But didn't like them packed whole instead of sliced into smaller pieces. I was trying to pull them straight from the jar, while making a salad, %26 this hugh piece falls out into my hand. Literally 2/3 of the jar was one piece. Jar front should warn users.
