I may be late to the party, but I am THRILLED to have discovered this product! Using the gel cuts down on liquid being added to icing made with powdered sugar, which makes a big difference. The color is vibrant and there are many shades to choose from...I was looking for a dark, bright pink and the Rose seemed suitable. It's perfect, exactly what I was looking for, for Valentine's Day. I didn't have to use a lot, a little goes a long way and it's affordably priced. I will definitely be buying this product in other colors. I highly recommend this product.
I purchased this green food coloring to make Grinch Fluff at Christmas and again on Saint Paddy's Day in cracked cookies. Both times, the non-flavored food coloring worked well. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for food coloring. The consistency is thicker than the drops, which I believe made it easier to work with. Mixes effortlessly and the more you add the deeper the color gets.
well I bought it for Easter to color eggs with my grandkids because there was so many more colors than the regular egg dying kits I got 11 different color and they're supposed to be used for cakes but I didn't so I don't know how it works on cakes yet but for eggs they made the eggs come out really bright and vibrant and I loved it I don't think I'll ever dye eggs with regular dye ever again so I definitely recommend it for coloring eggs I'll let you know when I finally use it on a cake and it being a gel we didn't have to use very much of it to color the eggs either and sorry I can't show you the eggs because I waited until September to do the review.
I made Stranger Things upside down Chips Ahoy replica cookies and used this to dye the inside filling (a strawberry cream cheese) and it turned out great. The gel allows you to add slowly until you get the desired color. It was a rich red that popped against the nearly black cookie. I'm unable to upload a photo unfortunately. The gel is thick so you'll need a small utensil to scoop it out.
This is a great quality product. You just use a tooth pic, and add a small amount of dye at a time, until you reach your desired shade. I needed something fun %26 easy, so I used this dye, and cans of Betty Crocker cream cheese frosting! It turned out great. This product is a good deal, and a little goes a long way! One thing to keep in mind- Is the dye can temporarily stain your fingers, and can potentially stain clothes, or white countertops... So just be smart, and prepare as needed.
We made a Stranger Things gingerbread house this year to celebrate the last season of ST. Needed a black food coloring and this one really performed well. We had white frosting so I like that you can add the color slowly to make a gray or a black. It's thick, so you need a small utensil to spoon it out. Unfortunately the website wouldn't allow me to upload a photo, the house turned out adorable with black vines, and a "gate" on the front.
I use this for red velvet cakes. The color distributes and mixes in so well. This is definitely a high quality product. Wear an old shirt and be very careful with what you touch when using this gel, because it turns everything red. I recommend wearing gloves or you will have red hands for a day or so.
I never received it !!!! The picture of the house your driver left WAS NOT MY HOUSE!!!!! I reported this by e- mail and called a number that was on the order . I wastold u use a third party driver and to call and complain about Ahmed . This is your responsibility I will never order thru Walmart again
Had to use almost the entire bottle to reach red. I don't care what they say, supposedly it's the same formula they've always had, but that's not true. I have little bottles from years and years ago that all you had to do was dip a toothpick in it no more than twice and you have the color you wanted. The red took a little bit more but nothing like using an entire big bottle of this one to reach something even remotely resembling Christmas red. The old food coloring was more like a paste. This new stuff is like a watery gel.
The label stating the color was the color I ordered BUT the color inside was NOT ONLY NOT the color on the label, it was a color exactly opposite on the color wheel. Like order the color green and the label says green but the color inside the container is red. That's essentially what happened. Every other Wilton color I've bought has been correct but one was exactly the opposite color as was labeled
