Not what I'd hoped for, but still a nice unit

Kelli June 19, 2026

I bought this fan based on the other reviews that claimed it provided some cooling for small areas. This has not been my experience, though I'm still giving a 5-star for reasons that follow. I have a small (850 sq ft) third floor apartment. The bedroom gets quite hot during heat waves. I tried putting this fan in the bedroom (10'x10' space) and running it on medium with ice and icepacks in the water bin. When I walked into the bedroom 1/2 hour later, the room actually felt *warmer* not cooler. I suspect that was from the added humidity. However, it's a very nice fan with 3 solid speeds. It's much stronger than the older tower fan I had, so I'm keeping it. Plus, its ability to add some moisture to the air will come in handy during the winter when the air becomes so very dry. Note that when you use the “Cool” function, you do hear the water moving in the unit. Sounds almost like water trickling somewhere. After a short amount of time, I decided I liked the sound - it was like hearing a small creek outside. However, if you are expecting super-quiet function, it will be disappointing. Lastly, set-up was a breeze. I had it out of the box and running in 5 minutes or less.

Quiet fan with loaded features. Great buy!

Fantastic Swamp Cooler Tower Fan. This works great just as a tower fan. The cooling features are an added bonus and work well. Please keep in mind that if you live in a humid area the swamp cooler portion of this fan is not going to work. It will make things more humid and miserable. This comes with a battery installed in the remote and two additional replacement batteries. It has 4 ice pucks. The fan is QUIET. Over all very nice fan with loaded features.

This is a DELUXE tower fan! Tons of features. LCD screen with temperature. Swamp cooler feature with 4 ice pucks. Remote control with included battery. Super easy to assemble. Overall the perfect tower fan. Very impressed.

Too Expensive For Its Use IMO

WMRRJMP May 25, 2026

I struggled a lot with this because they pack the four ice packs in the water drawer but the drawer only opens an inch or two so there is one pack that blocks access to the other three and the drawer doesn't open far enough to pull the cumbersome ice pack out. Eventually I had to flip it upside down, pull the drawer out as far as possible and shake it until the others fell out and the blocking one finally falls out as well. You're supposed to clean the water drawer regularly as well BUT HOW? The drawer doesn't come out and you can't even fit a hand inside it! For an item priced over $100 this should not be a regular problem you have to tackle for proper use. Bad engineering. I froze the ice packs and added one (because I didn't want to have another stuck with water in the drawer this time) with cold water -and the fan was nice and it was quiet on the lowest power but the cold air conditioner setting wasn't creating much of a difference IMO. Granted I didn't run it long as the setting showed the water level falling visibly in a short time and it's actually on the cooler side this week. It rotates smoothly and it's visually appealing with the tall slim body and as I said it's quiet and cooling but not at any level I expected for the price tag. I expected a lot more. Basically they sell the same thing in smaller box shaped versions for a quarter of the cost. So if you are into the aesthetics over the quality of coolness it's a good option. Easy to move around and not clunky. If you are expecting something that is more of an air conditioner for the price look elsewhere.

Oscillates, but wobbly on level floor. Holds water. Blows air in three speeds. Remote doesn't work. There was no 2.5 ⭐ option, so the 3 will have to do.

This was the first swamp fan I've ever purchased. I was under the impression that it actually would cool the air somewhat. I mean, they put a button on it that has a snowflake. Snowflakes are cold, but no cold air comes out of the fan. it is a nice powerful fan but I would consider this more a humidifier than anything to actually cool a room. I returned it right away and got my money back. I could buy a much cheaper humidifier than what this swamp fan costs. I live in the central Sacramento Valley where the temperatures are very warm and very very dry. This fan was supposed to be ideal for my climate. But all that it really did was put some moisture into the air, which was a good thing but I needed the temperature to drop a little and it never did after 2 hours of running.

No remote. Adding water doesn't seem to make it blow cooler. There were much more reasonably priced fans that would have been a better option.

It doesn't blow cold any way that you set it up to use
